Champion Mastery

I was wondering what are they going to do with the champion mastery once the new seasons starts. This has been on my mind for a long time ever since the season was over for this year and was wondering if they are going to do something about it. It be better if they restart the champions you have mastered so that way, you can have a fresh start on the champs you have learned and who is your new mains. But if not, its pretty obvious they are going to increase the mastery's to level 6 and 7.

They're apparently going to make something where it's possible to get free skins and other cool things based on your champion mastery I believe.

If they increase it, it wont be to some odd number like 6 and 7. It'd either be 10 OR they would just increase the amount of champ points required to get to the current levels 1,2,3,4 and 5 and just leave it at 1-5. What I'd really like is if you would just rate your favorite champs to play from first to one hundred twentieth to least or something like that (editable at anytime, any person can view the top 25% of the order, friends can view top half). People wouldn't want to just have to get higher mastery again on the champs they've already played a lot.
