QSS and malzhar ult bug?

So correct me if I am wrong but as far as I know QSS should completely remove the suppression from Malzhar's ult correct?

I was in a game earlier where it removed the CC from Malzhar's ult but then immediately after I use it I got "sucked" by back into the stun again. Don't know how explain it but tl;dr it's bugged and whenever I qss'd malzhar's ult it works for a split second and then my champ automatically gets stunned by malzhar's ult again

Is this intended or bugged?

Did you use it right as he ulted?

Some people prepare to use QSS and use it too soon, so they get CC'd by the thing they were trying to anticipate.

Otherwise its supposed to:

Create a tether between you and Malzahar

QSS negates suppression but not the tether

Tether continues to deal damage while within a certain range from Malzahar

This. You probably used QSS too soon. Also was it in a 1v1? If there were other interactions going on that could have impacted the result.

If neither of the above, then it's a bug. QSS will always break Malz ult suppression (never seen it fail to do so).

I used it and I got free for a split second and then my character was flowing in the air and suppressed for whatever reason. Couldn't move at all. I am not sure if that's the tether or but I don't think I got to move my character or use any abilities

How recent was this game? Can you download the reply? It sounds like a bug, but as a malz main I have to be honest and say I've never seen it happen...

it happened towards the end when I bought qss and right before I sold it for maw
