Why is Illaoi that strong?

Hi. Another game against Illaoi, playing Alistar. She was 0-5 and i outfarmed her. I countered her in every ways possible at early and mid game. Udyr ganked at my lane to help me sometimes and we killed her many times, but... i still won't able to hit her tower ! She fought 1 vs 3 (Me, a fed Ezreal and Udyr) and we were nearly dead ! As i said, Ez was fed, i was too, and Udyr was ok ! Is it supposed to be normal???

A champ that is outplayed, outfarmed, (outkilled?), and still able to almost win a 1vs3 fight?? Do you think it is fair ? Aren't we supposed to be rewarded when we play well and outplay an opponent? Where is my reward then? our entiere team was playing well and we still lost, because a 0-5 champ could take on half of our team. The game was like :

  • early : only bot had problems. I outplayed Illaoi and i took the first blood. Our midlaner took 2 kills too.
  • mid : We were okay, everywhere, and Udyr and I killed Illaoi some other times.
  • end : Illaoi was far behind but just raped everyone in the ass. Then we lost.

Not to mention that in the end, she still was 0-5 and i had much more cs, but she could dive me easily without getting worried. And i was built with armor and giant belt... what the hell are we supposed to do against this crap?? I mean : she was far behind but still stronger than everyone...

I'd like to know what you think about this champ too.

People that are going to say i'm a noob who only QQ, go ahead, i'm ok with haters.

walk out of the ult range. Its that easy. Last game i was malph vs her and i got 1st blood, and continually killed her. she never came back

One reason she gets to chunk people so hard with no items is that there is no reduced damage if you get hit by multiple tentacles.

For example, if Azir hits you with 2 soldiers, the damage from the second soldier is halved. Same with Zed's abilities, and Zyra's plants.

Not withIllaoi If you get smacked with 3 tentacles, you take full damage from every one of them, and she gets full healthing from every one of them (15% of her missing HP, so again it doesnt matter what items she has, she gets a huge heal.)

This is pretty much the reason she can 1v5 with nothing but a item 3071 Riot thinks this is okay apparently.

Honestly, the biggest bullshit skill in her kit is her E. Another high impact, low risk, low mana cost skill. Cause those never turn out to be a problem.

Of course the huge mouth breathing circle jerk club of "nothing is ever unbalanced in LoL" will descend on this thread like they do every other thread that points out the obvious issues with a new champ.

She offers mainly damage, team fight chaos (which is hit or miss) and an odd form of utility. She needs damage to be relevant, else she'd be ignored since she'd have only innate tankiness.

If she has nothing to make her a threat, then she is useless.

Ok heres how to beat Illaoi: Chant : My teeth are yellow, my team is Korean, you guessed it right! I'm an European Say it about 3 or 4 times and uhhh you'll win :P

If u simply step back a bit once she ults....you will see, she does no damage as everyting will miss. If you step out her zone, she becomes completely useless.

She's built to make you dodge her tentacles or lose to her.

Riot should not have put her gapcloser on a 4 second cooldown though. They have a trend to lowering cooldowns with new champs/reworks. Poppy (that overpowered bitch) has a 2 second stun on an 8 second cooldown. Fiora has a 3.2 second cooldown dash. It's ridiculous.

OMG Not this again. Jesus christ. STOP DIVIING ILLAOI SHE WANTS YOU TO DO THAT!!!

This champ has been out long enough now and people are still doing the same thing over and over again. Even today, I had a mate ask me why I stopped fighting her during a 2v1 skirmish in the jungle. When will people understand that when she ults you must disengage. She ulted and he wanted to keep fighting her. This is how she gets fed quadras.
