New Item: Doran's Pendant

50 HP, 10 AP, 5% Spell Vamp. 440g

Something along those lines. Why should Riot add this type of item? Because the Doran's item line is somewhat of a mechanic in the game, giving a player some extra stats in the early lane phase which cannot scale into a better item and thus have to be "thrown away" at a later time. To have an entire group of champions (manaless AP champs) who cannot benefit from a Doran's item designed for them (and thus cannot benefit from the mechanic itself) is silly. Thus, they should be given a Doran's item designed for them.

I mean...RIGHT?

Oh you mean the poor resourceless champions? Oh, I feel terrible for their downsides!

EDIT: Not to mention, this item would nullify Vlad's weak point in the very early game. Stack this with Spell Vamp utility and quints? Whee!

The immediate problem I see with it is that what would stop other mana-bound casters from getting this item? Even though you are sacrificing mana regen, you are getting spell vamp sustain and overall increased survivability.

It would ESPECIALLY bump Vlad's early game, as he would gain bonus AP from the HP boost with his passive, AND extra spell vamp to make his Q heal him more. It would make him painful to deal with.

I do wish spell vamp would get some love in general, though. It's such a hard thing to balance in its current state.
