DODGING ARAM IS NOT WORKING ANYMORE

Hello guys,

i play ARAM exclusively and I admit that I dodge a lot of games as I have various 'ARAM' accounts and therefore dont feel obliged to play low tier ARAM picks like Udyr, RekSai etc. However, while this behaviour in general might appear questionable, lately (maybe starting 1-2 weeks ago) I observed that dodging an ARAM in 'Champion Select' does not lead to the game not being started, eventually ending up in a full 4v5, which can be a very frustrating and unfun experience for both the winning and the losing team. I also participated in a lot more games where one person did not show up at all, was disconnected for the whole game, which I assume is the exact same case where somebody dodged in champ select, not realizing the game just would load regardless.

Could this be a specific bug or is it intentional and are any of you experiencing the same thing? In case it is intentional, I strongly dislike this change because it's the remaining 4 players suffering most from this obviously. The dodge rate in ARAM is very high, maybe 10-20%? So I am certainly not the only person that likes to dodge ARAMs, therefore I can only imagine that an increasing number of 4v5 games constitutes a big problem for the game mode.

maybe the reason dodging is not working anyone is because you aren't suppose to fucking dodge!

Clean up your game Riot. Almost never start games 5v5 due to various bugs that occur while loading.

I have contacted riot support about this, they said it is a bug they are trying to solve but no known ETA as to when it will be fixed

Yeah have been experiencing this a lot recently, particularly the last week had like 4 games total over two accounts which started after dodging with at least>20 seconds left. Even had a gnar randomly come back into a game like 15-20 minutes in where he said he dodged with 50 or so secs left in pregame.

One of them games might have even been an instant dodge, i don't feel like playing unfamilar assassins on a map that which doesn't allow flanking. I might try funky builds/runes but I don't think even I would try conqueror on an assassin like zed.

"picks" might not be politically correct term but there are definitely higher tier picks in ARAM, no amount of % nerfs is going to reduce veigirs near lane wide cage or sona's heal and aura spam. Just like there is little effect giving Eve +15% damage dealt & -10% damage taken when your invisibility doesn't come before level 6 and an enemy getting hit by a charged W pre-6 says more about their stupidity than anything.
