So, 's new update seems great and all and focused on preserving his role in the game as well as his core character. I honestly like the new rework on paper, but why oh why is his W going to be completely useless in solo lane. is typically seen in top lane where he can keep his map pressure with his ult + tp and still have a farm lane to become a god tank. His w however, brings no benefit or use to a solo lane. Is this encouragement to play him support? Or just something that maybe got ignored during development?

His W stops all Auto damage from hitting allies and Shen. I'm fairly certain that it includes Shen

I think he'll be fine without it as an ability therefore allowing him to play top but also scaling this ability first suddenly makes him a better viable support than just a taunting and ultimate tank for his adc considering I don't think vorpal blade will heal whoever hits the target he's thrown it to.

He will get punished pre 6 imo idk if he will even make it to late if you plan on playing him top.
