Riot, I just heard of your upcoming patch, 8.17, and it seems that once again your nurfing Zoe and calling it a “mini-rework”, for what reason, hell if I know. Honestly I’m okay if you change the numbers and scalings on her abilities but now your just being mean for no reason, taking off her E’s trap affect....really, her skill shots are narrow already as it is and something that may guarantee a possible hit or add to the play making/outplay potential that she has your just gonna take it away. I’m not even gonna say anything about her Q cause you guys are just out right nurfing the numbers and dmg on it, only thing u haven’t touched but of course you had to change that huh... Now for her W. What’s this the 3rd time now that your chopping off some of its dmg, are you guys trying to make it hit as hard as Lisandra’s auto-attacks? Keep it up Riot, here’s an idea maybe on the next patch after 8.17 you can completely remove the 3 bolts, increase the spawn time for bubble minions AND add a cooldown timer for it 😃....cause clearly that’s the direction your taking it. fuckers 🙄 And lastly her R....so let’s see if I got this right. Your taking out the vision it gives and your making the jump time longer 🧐. Hmmm now, Riot idk what idiot came up with her bug induced ult in the first place but it was a stupid ass idea. Do you know what we, the very small amount of people who play Zoe call her ult? We call it “A fucking useless setup”. You can’t use it to escape jack shit, late/mid game if u use it to poke and the enemy has an assassin and cc or everyone on the enemy team attacks you, guess what, you die, pretty awesome fuckin ult huh 🙃. The only mobility Zoe has is from after using a summoner spell or her W, and from the way it’s looking y’all might take that out too just cause. Now you wanna make it so that her ult DOESN’T give vision AND it keeps us in ult animation longer, why? So the enemy can kill is better, faster? If you do anything for Zoe in this “mini-rework” get rid of that shit ult, your taking everything else might as well give back something for once. Give her a blink, an actual portal hop, something like that with a CD timer, like what she actually does and not a fuckin set up.

Now I know people are gonna say “maybe you should land your skill shots and stop bitching cause clearly she’s broken and needs the nurf”....to that I say no. Y’all have people like Akali, Yasuo, Syndra, Rangar, Kayn, Annie, etc cause this list can go on and on. Some of those people have skill shots and others are point and click, but they all do 100 to 0 dmg and guess what, you do nothing with them, shit some of those people are getting buffed but guess what those champs are okay, they balanced but Zoe, naaah she gotta get nurf.

Just stop Riot, stop nurfing Zoe, give her an ult that ISN’T a useless set up and actually work on the champs that are being reworked.... I might be just 1 person but other Zoe players probably feel the same way I feel man, just fix your shit Riot

Her only weakness is her wasting her stun. But she decides when she uses her stun. She also has damage reduction too? And Tibbers is almost always ready.

Yasuo's weakness is just gold advantage. Syndra's weakness is early game. Rengar's weakness... is not killing people. Kayn's weakness doesn't exist, because he has a form + item for whoever is trying to counter him.

I downvoted this tbh. And I'm a Zoe main. In her current state she is pretty balanced, if anything I'd change the W interaction by giving her weaker versions of summoners (where possible e.g. cleanse cant really be weakened) and maybe items too, as well decrease the amt of movespeed she gets late game. Maybe I'd shift some of the dmg of E into the first hit (shaving off some dmg from the last hit)... and possibly give her very slight buffs to the q or e dmg... Most of the arguements against Zoe are seemingly negativity bias from when she was stronger, however the last few nerfs she got would seem to have balanced her, but many people won't recognize this. Similalry to Syndra after the MYMU where they changed the W t be able to pick up 3 orbs and gave the q buffs to orb duration... The community continued to follow the idea that she was OP even after rechanging the W, until she became trash tier and forgotten, after which Riot was able to buff her without the community realizing she was returned to a previously balanced state. Negativity bias takes a while for a "mob" to get over. If Riot does nerf and change Zoe again, and the community becomes satisfied, she'll likely eventually be returned to the state she currently is in (if not a bit stronger). This isn't my issue with ur post.

My problem is more geared towards ur last points... Keeping Zoe in her ult animation a bit longer is a change because while it makes her more vulnerable to return dmg, it also gives her much more time to recast q, and increase the distance more by flashing etc.

Giving Zoe a true source of mobility makes her an assassin, and will then require even more aspects of her kit to be fundamentally changed in order to remain balanced... The Q would be weakened, a lot of E's dmg would prbly be backloaded.... she'd be the only person able to deal E's bonus dmg etc. It makes her even more slippery. Her ult is fine as is now. This is where it seems you misunderstand the true nature of Zoe and what she fundamentally is. An immobile burst mage...one with an artillery flavor. Your version seems to want to add even more dmg to her kit while making her have true mobility..i.e. an assassin. Zoe should be weak to all ins, therefore shouldn't have "get out of jail free" card,. The only arguement that could really be made to justify it would be that it shifts her safety around... It makes her safer to play in regards to disengaging, but also more volatile if she uses it to extend the range of her Q since it'll permanently displace her. The only reason Zoe is allowed her Q is because she MUST remain within 800 units of the skillshot at all times. Nidalee's version kept getting nerfed and eventually changed because she could fire the spear from a huge distance and not even have to stick around, but walk away while it is moving.

The proposed changes weren't anywhere near being finalized and shouldn't even have been revealed (as stated by riot) , so hopefully they don't change anything with the E. The ult change Ik some people have been misunderstanding (in regards to vision) it's not remiving the vision of where she'll appear, so she can cast ult into a brush and gain vision... however she won't be able to cast ult and see over walls into bush fog of war etc. (can't see what would normally require a ward to see), which while it will impact her, wouldn't be too hard of a hit, instead increasing the player's skill and judgment requirement.
