Lethality Items

This might be an unpopular opinion, but why are ranged champions allowed to build Lethality items? I'm totally fine with them being in the game...for assassins and melee champs that is. If a Zed or a Talon gets ahead and oneshots me with his ult and a duskblade im fine with it cause its what i've come to expect from zed/Talon as they are assassins. They should have a High risk, High Reward Play style. But when a 0/12/2 Miss Fortune just so happens to buy a duskblade and presses Q on me and i loose damn near all my HP. that's not fucking cool Rito. Im not askin' for lethality and duskblade to be removed from the game. But at least make it so only Melee champs can buy Duskblade. i cant tell you how many times ive been on youtube or in game and seen an ADC build full lethality and oneshot people from the safety of thier backline. Most of the adc's that can build lethality fucking abuse the hell out of it. Miss fortune being a main contender. if she gets a duskblade and presses q on anyone who doesnt have at least 100 armour, that person is basically fucking dead. thats not a healthy style of play, thats not you outplaying an opponent, thats just bullshit.

That is actually a big problem. For this game to ever actually be balanced we would need to have items for each class and then make it so classes can only buy specialty items enabled for their class. Kind of like how Hydra is melee only, there is a need for this to be more common.

If Riot invested the time into making this happen it would make league a whole new game in the long run and enable a lot more balancing. Allowing anyone to buy pretty much any item is what makes this game a balancing nightmare.

If ADC build Lethality, they gimp their late game DPS. That's a fair trade off.

Are you talking about the lategame when Xayah gets her 2nd item or the 40 minute lategame?

Games don't last long enough nowadays for there to be an actual gimp in their DPS

With games being shorter and 3-4 item builds being the commonplace endgame, choosing those 3 items is a huge decision. Cuz if Xayah goes Duskblade and the other ADC goes a standard DPS build, Xayah will more than likely be the cause of a lost all out teamfight.

Ofcourse she does extremely well with lethality due to potential massive E damage, but if that falls through she's worthless with no real DPS since 33% of her items weren't built for DPS.

Cuz they generally don't offer any durability whilst also not tying as much into their DPS as the standard AD/AS/Crit items do.

Going lethality means committing to a more ability based style of play and therefore foregoing higher sustained DPS. Which really matters once a teamfight breaks out.

You can cancel a ton of lethality with item 3047. I build this item on everyone its so OP. Mages, tanks, even my adcs.

So, we are saying there is no late game because of lethality. That is completely incorrect. There is no late game because players are idiots and give up on their adc if they don't build lethality and go ham early. But if you protect your adc and play conservative to get to a late game there is no way you will lose. An ok adc with very little help that is full ad will destroy a team that is all lethality. Your mid or your top may have to carry to late game but you will win. As long as you don't give up and keep playing that 0/12/2 Miss Fortune will start doing ridiculous damage late game and 0/12/2 will become 15/15/20 no lethality required. On the other hand if you take out lethality from adc's xayah becomes useless. It sucks early and mid game fighting her but late game she falls off like most mages.

My point is if your adc is doing poorly because they are doing a full ad build, support them and get them to late game and you win or make them tilted and you lose.
