What's the purpose of the "autofill protected" thingy, isn't it the same as a normal q? It says it guarantees you one of your roles that you pick but that's the same with or without it. Wouldn't it make more sense for it to only give you your primary role?
redniwediS1 votesAutofill is a system that forces players to play the less popular roles. It forces "fill" to be a third options alongside your primary and secondary choices. You might select your two favorites, but autofill makes it so you can be assigned to any of the five roles.
If you willingly play a less popular role (support or fill) then you will be protected from the autofill system for a few games. That protection is given to people who do their part in lowering queue times, and lets them avoid being forcefully assigned to a role they don't necessarily enjoy when they want to.

redniwediS1 votesIt might go away, and it might not. What you're doing is increasing your own personal queue time by waiting until there's a time where autofill is not required.
Hypothetically you could spend hours waiting for autofill to go away. That's not usually the case, but because of the way the system is built you could.
Closing the queue just makes it check if autofill is still active, it does not remove autofill and make it go away.

redniwediS1 votesRiot cares more about the majority than the individual. When the majority is the one supported the individual always gets screwed over. It happens in everything, and there's a long history to back this up.
Don't forget this, even when you become part of the majority.
