remove this system it breeds a give up griefing mentality and on top of that trolls even if game in your favor can just start a surrender and get ppl to agree. bad system on top of all these things the constant annoyance of the person that always votes to surrender draws focus away from play.[zombie-brand-mindblown]

I voted Get rid of. I've won 4v5s, no point in playing a game that you quit, might as well take it one step farther and uninstall. if your going to lose then be a good sport about it, just play the game. I agree, its a distraction and surrender option encourages grieving, and takes away from the game experience.
It's annoying when you're opposing team does it too.
It does have a timer lock. And if you dont want to surrender than hit no. It only takes 1 no to stop it
Why waste the last "x" time by surrendering when you can add "y" time to make it a victory or at least have actual fun.
Getting rid of Surrender might be difficult at first as players will keep afk, or troll, but they will slowly learn that there is no escape but to fight. on and on. I always surrender, afk and troll because I have an option to do so. If there is no surrender, i think I will try to enjoy the game much more. BTW Riots are scared of losing more players as it is a major problem now, so surrender option is still available.
The Dota system is good in my opinion if you leave you suffer if someone leaved the game is free to leave its easy and works perfectly
You can stop people from surrendering but not stop them from giving up removing the feature to quit the game will just see more instances of people opening mid.
