Thoughts about fiora

Fiora needs some love and since (from what I heard) her rework was shelved and to be done at a later date. Here are some suggestions that might give Riot an easier time to do the rework if they have a model or some suggested changes to her. Some of the changes are to her passive, her e and to her ult.

For people who do not want to read the whole thing, Fiora's passive is removed and replaced with her e (movement and attack speed boost) with some changes to it, blade waltz becomes her new e with changes to it as well and she receives a Heim like ultimate which upgrades one of her moves when used.

Removal of Fiora's current passive and replace it with her current e (her increase of movement speed and attack speed per auto attack or lunge cast). the get the movement and attack speed Fiora either auto attacks or cast spells. It would have a max stack of around 5 (the number can change) but with low movement speed and attack speed percent. the percent can scale with level or with her ult. the increase in the speed for both movement and attack can hint to Fiora's training and how it is making her more skillful allowing her to move gracefully, and having her attacks flow.

Her q and w (with some minor changes) will stay the same until she gets her ultimate which will be explained later on. The w will also receive some minor changes that she should have received a long time ago and that is being able to block both auto attack and an on hit effect on that auto attack. Her w can also dodge or block certain skill shots like Panth's spear throw, Ezeral's q, something that deals physical damage and what seems to be block able. Some spells that Fiora cannot block like Morg's snare, Shyv's flame breath, etc.

Since her e is now her passive, Fiora needs a need e so replacing her e will be her old ult. blade waltz. but this blade waltz is different than her current version since this one can hit minions as well. the chance to hit a minion can be low or a more doable number. This makes Fiora have to pick her battles should I e into the enemy champion with minions and hopefully my strikes hit him or should I wait until s/he is alone for me to e onto them? this is not the only change to Fiora's blade waltz e, it would receive some more changes as in damage, strikes and damage per strike. firstly the strikes will be lowered to 3 at level 1, and with each level put into e, Fiora gains one more strike. the damage would be scaled down to a more balanced damage output. the strikes per damage on the same target should be the first two strikes on the same target deals 100% each then 85% for the third, 70% for the fourth, 55% for the fifth and 40% for sixth and 25% seventh strike on the same target. The decrease in damage is due to the opponent being prepared for Fiora's next strike. Also the decrease does not have to be 15% per strike it can be whatever is deemed balance.

Her Blade waltz e can have two effects. one effect is that AoE spells can hit her while using her e, but during her e she opponents cannot target her and she is not affected by single target spells or skill shots. Reason for her being able to be hit by AoE is somewhat self explanatory since it is hard for her to dodge while skill shots and single target spells "miss" her. the second effect one can argue it being cheap or "overpowered" but it allows Fiora to crit while in blade waltz, but the crit does normal damage but adds a small slow effect and a bleed on the target. Fiora is moving at fast pace that her attacks hit a vital area or an area of movement like cutting a tendon in someone's leg. The bleed and slow effect could stack it all depends whether it will be balanced or not. Adding a slow to Fiora allows her to chase her target since the target is crippled by her blade waltz. the cast range would be reduced including the jump effect between enemies. Allows enemy champions to escape Fiora's blade waltz. There are three options that Fiora's balde waltz can take after. One, it will stay the way it is but with reduced range and such. So basically a single target spell where you click and the spell is preformed. Second, by having it act like an AoE spell where Fiora clicks the area and she will jump through that area dealing damage. Third, it can be an on hit effect, so Fiora's next basic attack will trigger the spell effect to take place but the basic attack will not deal damage or can depending. Another point to blade waltz with the chance of hitting minions also the chance of hitting other enemy champions. Have the spell focus on one enemy and if another enemy enters the area he will have a small chance of being hit or normal chance depending.

With her blade waltz as her new e, Fiora needs a need ultimate. I suggest an ultimate like Heim. (the name of her new ultimate is up to Riot, i'm just giving them ideas). Her ultimate will add new effects to her kit. As I said in the passive section upgrading Fiora's ultimate will or could increase the percentage of movement and attack speed increase. Example from 3% to 5% for level one, level two from 5% to 7% and last level to 9%. The higher the level Fiora is the more experience she gets in combat which explains the increase of movement and attack speed. Meaning, she is growing, becoming a better duelist with each level.

Her someone activates her new ultimate and then uses her lunge spell, it will increase the number of lunges, as well as give the ability to click on allies (champs or both minions and champs, wards can be included if it is fair and balance). Each level up of the ultimate can give an extra 1-2 lunges at level one, level two gives 2-3 extra lunges and level three gives 3-4 lunges. This gives Fiora a chance to trade with opponents as well as an elegant retreat. well it does not have to be elegant but a chance for Fiora to retreat. (when I say elegant it is more animation wise, having her backflip to ally or jump back beautiful style, etc).

For her ultimate then W, will block a single target spell, any single target spell but only once. basically a Banshee's Veil for single target spells. The spell does not get sent back to the owner, that would be too overpowered. it will just negate the effect of the spell. AoE spells will still affect her. It can also upgrade her ad passive that is attached to her W. like I said it can, but it does not have to.

Finally her blade waltz. when Ultimate then blade waltz it ignores the chance to target minions and focuses on champions. This could add the crit effect that I explained before or it can add some extra strikes and increase damage. it all depends on what if it is balanced or not.

This give Fiora a choice do I want to be able to hit my opponent then able to retreat afterwards with ultimate then q? Or should I use my ultimate for my w to block a single target spell so i can survive champion's X burst damage? Or should I go all in with lunge then use my ultimate then blade waltz to constantly hit the enemy champion (which can slow him) then follow it up with some auto attacks to finish him off? Each have a trade off, with ultimate then q you trade damage output for mobility. Since you cannot use your ultimate for blade waltz so that means if minions are nearby you have a chance of hitting the minions and not the champion. Ultimate then W sure allows you to survive some burst damage but Fiora will lose mobility and damage output. Ultimate then blade waltz allows Fiora to deal more damage to a champion but an enemy champion comes by to gank Fiora, she cannot block burst damage or use mobility to get back to safe by jumping to minions. Use Fiora's ultimate then blade waltz gives the feeling of Fiora being the grand duelist dealing tons of damage on a single enemy champion and can out duel them. If Fiora faces multiple enemy champions she will have a hard time defeating them but she can also have an easy time defeating them if she lands a strike on each champion which will do 100% damage. But that will require luck.

In conclusion, Fiora needs some work to be done on her to allow her to keep her Title the Grand Duelist. Some of these suggestions will hopefully allow her to compete in top lane or the jungle more effectively. Some of these suggestions are replacing her passive with her e, moving blade waltz to her e, and by giving Fiora a Heim like ultimate which will upgrade one of her abilities.

Remember these are my personal suggestions that I would like to see done on Fiora since she deserves some love. Also I want to hear other people's opinions on Fiora and what she needs to make her the Grand Duelist.

Her W will not be able to block Pantheon Q unless you make block the first basic attack (and on-hit effects) or single target physical damage spell (this is the only way to make it be able to block Pantheon Q)
