So you remove Trundles Q tower damage but still not Nasus'?

Patch 6.1 Notes (leak) * /r/leagueoflegends

Just read the leaked 6.1 patch notes and I really like Trundle, I'm not upset about the nerfs but just wanted to point this out:

"Quick call out on that Q nerf: with turrets being weaker this season we felt this was a good middle-ground instead of outright dulling those teeth."

All well and good, makes sense since turrets are weaker but then I keep thinking why do some champions have these abilities to hit structures, giving them an edge in pushing but will ultimately get it removed as the meta changes? Trundles is removed, Dr Mundo's Headbutt tower damage is removed and so was Rengars long ago but Nasus can still 2/3 or even 1 shot towers with his? It doesn't take very long for Nasus to get 200 stacks and that is well enough for him to 3 - 4 shot towers by waiting less than 20 seconds. I would like some more explanation on why Riot even has this mechanic if only 1 gets to keep it.

Some champions have power against towers as one of their intended strengths. Nasus and Trist are two of the biggest examples of that. Trundle and Mundo by contrast have other intended strengths, with tower punishing not being one of them. As a result if we need to take power away from them tower pushing ability's a good place to remove it.

But it is meant for Nasus to be a great tower taker?

I mean it feels awesome when you Q a turret and it gets wrecked, but at the same time it felt good with trundle :P so much that for a long time it was expected that one of the intended powers of Trundle, for some, was in fact tower taking.

It could make sense for a Nasus to keep that if he could replace the role of a marksman as a tower taker ( which is not totally out of his possibilities frankly ) but i am not sure what' s the stance about him.

So Nasus is allowed to 2-shot champions and 2-shot turrets with his q with 45% cdr?

Yes. Or did you not get that from the fact that he's been doing that ever since he was released?

So you're saying that you would remove the 1 aspect of Nasus that makes him a worthwhile, strategic pick if he were to ever becoming an overwhelming champion? You obviously don't understand how split-pushers like Nasus (and Tryndamere) work, so allow me explain. Nasus (and similar split-pushers like Tryndamere) excels at splitting until someone comes to stop them, and if that were to happen: he would press R, drop his pimp cane on that guy and then take a tower and/or an inhibitor as a means of punishing the enemy team. You see, the point of Nasus isn't to becoming unkillable in a 1v1 (or 1v2, or 1v3) situation for no reason - it's to kill the person who comes to stop you and then use that time they have a grey screen to gain an objective for his team. Objective focus is the name of the game with Nasus.

If Nasus' ability to 3-shot turrets late game is taken away, how could he ever push for an advantage? You'd kill the player(s) coming to stop you but it would take you so long to destroy the turret/inhibitor afterwards, that another guy could easily come and probably stop you before you dealt meaningful damage to that structure. This would lead to an annoyingly long cycle of repeating the same process until death timers were so high, that Nasus could actually benefit from his kit's strengths.

But what nonsense am I spewing anyway, Meddler? I'm just a Nasus main who almost made platinum last season mainly playing Nasus, so feel free to ignore and discard my opinion. Also, please excuse my audacity in questioning your evidently infallible logic. I'd be honored if you were to respond to my comment with your best Donald Trump impersonation and heavily admonish me for making such a crude, illogical argument.

.... Bro.... Did you even read what he said... He virtually just said part of nasus' identity is to be able to push towers... What the hell are you talking about...

Next time you decide to be a sarcastic douchebag to someone, check your reading comprehension. He said the complete opposite of what you're accusing him of saying.

Did you even read his post? He said Nasus' Q on turret is intended and made no mention of it being removed. Christ.

I would suggest actually reading what Meddler said before going off on a rant.

He said that tower pushing was one of Nasus' intended strengths and is unlikely to be touched.

I feel that with Trundle, yes, he can be disruptive in teamfights, but he can also split push. He's versatile in that respect and that's what has finally made him a good, solid pick.

Seriously harming his ability to split push means you need to compensate for that elsewhere and instead of doing that, you're upping his mana costs. While I don't disagree with that, it seems like a couple of weeks from now it'll be clear that you've not balanced the scales fairly here.

Nasus would unviable if his Q didn't work on towers.

Unless they turn him into a juggernaut. "We at riot thought the old juggernaut could use some love. His Q doesn't hit towers anymore but adds up 50 range and deals double damage vs champions while it can crit. As a juggernaut nasus can't have hard CC , but since he is missing his split pushing his W will have a higher range, his life steal is doubled in E (that separates the good nasus from the great nasus) and his ult will will give him one blink, so you can one shot a champion that is near you"

What?Nasus is already a Juggernaut. He's an immobile, tanky carry. In fact,he served as an example of a Juggernaut for the Juggernaut update.Don't think that because he wasn't a part of the update,he's not a Juggernaut.

Nasus is in a worse state than Trundle.

Nasus is meant to be a hyper scaling, slow moving, explosive champion.

Trundle is fast and highly disruptive. They are not the same.

When I did play Trundle top or Jungle I always found that I would start actually using Q on the turrets around the same time Nasus does when he normally lanes for instance because you know the first 10 mins or so farm is more important than a tower especially for champions that need 3k gold items like tanks. I don't know it just seems like Riot are only keeping Nasus the way he is for historic reasons because everyone knows he's the D CANE! Just seems weird that Trundles Bite wasn't really that bad compared to Nasus for me at least.

It makes a lot of sense thematically. I mean, Nasus is whacking things with an actual weapon. Is Trundle really biting the turret, biting through stone? Maybe trolls have really solid teeth.

I will not enjoy the hit to Trundle's turret taking ability, but ah well.

i feel like this isn't going to hurt trundle powers pushing at all. As long as i have the attck area and a hyrda he can still stomp towers.

So many people mad in this thread. It's sad. What Meddler said was ambiguous, and knowing his record, I wouldn't be surprised if he did hit Nasus' tower pushing. He should clarify his statement instead of using ambiguous pronouns like "them". Go ahead and flame all you want. #BabyRage
