Botlane counters

Hello everybody,

I've just played a ranked game in which the enemy team picked in botlane. We had some trouble in the lane mainly because we wanted to pick for spellshielding ' grab but they chose her early on so we couldn't. I played as (i find him very viable as a support) for couterengaging, maybe not the smartest move because could easily negate my engages if she was quick enough. I was wondering what you guys think may be the best compostion for tackling this botlane?

I love naut but in that case he is not viable because she can spell shield his root. A better choice, in my opinion, would be leo ( you already want to get close to the adc so blitz only helps you) or thresh(lantern to save your adc or enough spells to get the adc even if she spell sheilds one of your ablitites).

Way to think is your going to get pulled eventually, what support would that benefit you from?

Annie is another choice, since you want to drop tibbs, but risky if you cant dodge pre 6.

TahmKench / Jinx ??

You have a tank that says "grab me" Jinx has her Bombs which can be played after a blitz grab (zoning the Enemy ADC), used either to help tahm 3stack, or to assist in a follow up after a 3 stack (spit the enemy out on the bomb isn't too tricky to accomplish).

Just my opinion of what I'd prefer against that match up

Leona Alistar does surprisingly well. Specially Alistar since the spell shield will only block damage but not your dash on your headbutt so you can headbutt wait and then pulverize. If blitz get a pull on you juts pulverize and headbutt one of them.

i play more support nautilus than 99% of people and find him to be the most solid support there is.

There are 2 adcs that pose a problem to nautilus,

Sivir Tristana as both can handle the engage and trade back more in return. Sivir is especially odd in the amount of damage she can trade in a naut engage, even when she doesnt spellshield

A sivir blitz botlane counter imo would be something like Tristana Alistar as both counter the pull somewhat and can trade early damage well

Thank you for your answers people :) Yes I find it surprising so little people play Nautilus support (I almost never stand against him in bot), his CC is so incredible especially the root on his basics. I'll have to try using Alistar more, I'm not a very big fan of him tho, don't know why. Maybe because he can easily be poked down early game but I'll have a go anyway! Also TahmKench yes... I could see this work thanks :D
