Riot, Please get rid of Autofill, PLEASE, but hear me out...

As a player in lower divisions in LoL Ranked Queue, I feel as though the players are not as prepared as higher elo players to auto-fill. This auto-fill system puts players and teammates, especially in ranked, at a disadvantage because of the lack the preparedness to Auto-fill into support role. This system is what loses the game for most players without even having started the game. With players choosing two positions prior to waiting, there is no reason to have to get auto-filled with the amount of players that are on at one time. Yes, auto-fill decreases wait time in queue, but at the cost of someone's LP or even promotional series. As someone who takes the game seriously and wants to climb the ranked Divisions, I find myself losing game after game because someone get's auto-filled into support and no one wants to cover them, why? because their teammates did not queue up as support either. So there in-lies the problem. I also understand that summoners can be "auto-fill Protected" but that does not prevent your teammates from getting auto-filled. I feel as though this system would work out in Normal Draft mode, where the game is taken less seriously, however, a player on your team who has been auto-filled into a position that they are unfamiliar with is a huge detriment, and this community is rather heart-less when it comes to switching roles, especially the support role. Overall, removing the Auto-fill aspect of the game will not only improve quality of life as a summoner, but will also prevent players from dodging queue after queue all the while not having to worry about a sub-par Support or Jungle who got Auto-Filled. Removing this system will also decrease the likely hood of summoners verbally abusing one another, leading them to getting reported, all because they got filled into a role that they do not play. It is, in my opinion, silly to have this system, as I believe that summoners would not mind waiting longer queue times in order one of their two desired roles.

Auto-fill isnt an issue. The players just don't want to take the time to learn a champ or two in each role.

Remember back in the day of Pick order? Every person needed to know how to do each lane.

That's still a problem though, especially when they get auto-filled.

Again though, not a problem with the system. Players just don't want to take the time to get familiar with the roles.

I would like if at least they could implement an official swap role function and show who is autofilled.. At least we could adjust the team the best we can

This should be top comment. This should be a thread in itself. Reds need to see this.

I did a thread about it actually.. But all I got was a single upvote and no comments so it just disappeared in the sea of gameplay. :c

Auto-fill isnt a problem at lower ranks at all, because there are so many people to be matched with (in about 50 games, ive been auto filled twice, both times I just asked if i could have my main role and people agreed).

Its a problem in higher ranks because there are a lot of one trick champions, or one trick roles. So when someone gets, say, Auto filled into Top lane, and face against a One Trick Darius, they are going to get dumpstered, and that really sucks.

i think two roles is a very small amount to choose from i had thought of the idea of making it so you would pick the two roles you would least like to play as and honestly i don't mind playing sup but i hate being the adc

they need auto fill to keep match times low, without it you would be waiting days for a support.

Unfortunately with tue lack of support mains auto fill is a needed system. It happens to me 1 in like 20 games. Not that big of a deal
