Can somebody tell me why it takes so long for my account or me in general to find a match on my alt (Pre 30)?

I know it's because pre 30 takes usually awhile but compared to some of the other people I've recently played with.. I've found a lot of other players finding matches rather a lot quicker than I do. Is it because location? Connection?
