Was this game my fault?

I was told that farmin wins games, that it is supposed to be the most important thing about league, and especially on adc, so I spent the majority of this game farmin gold and XP and tryin to get my items, but my team keeps dyin in the background and eventually we lose baron + inhibs. I know I suicide @ the end, I didn't realize vi was that close to me but is it actually my fault we lost inhibs + baron for not groupin? I had like 2-3 levels over twitch, over 100 cs up on em but it seemed to all pan out for the worst. IDK what to do.

This is my new strategy for solo queue, just farmin as much as possible but is it actually horrible? If it is, what are some guidelines for me to make sure I get enough farm while also helpin my team? It feels so random, people say that low elo is literally as simple as gettin items and face rollin but IDKKKKKKK
