Hello evryone I realy need to talk about support role and how it's changed in 2018 and i have preaty good questions about supports. So i will beggin .

In last year we all seen how supports got nerffed so hard ,but what is a point of doing this ? some sort of supports who is real supports got jukked from her roles . Like

**This is small sort of supprot who is not now in support role **

For this days all real supprots got nerfed but NONSUPPORTS god=t all time buff and for me it is so tilter , becasue i am support main and i love real support chempions but is hard to face NONSUPPORT chempion at lane . Like

She is not support !

She is not support !

For my Oppinion its is wrong . what is support what does it means ? Help out first of your adc and second for team . yaya i know some of you will say thos chempions have AOE dmg so its helps in team fight but i will reapit its wrong . I can talk from support side we got fulled at bot side . we are sick of this ugly chempions . its is boring even if you win agaist tham its same tilter as lose .

I wont say Buff any of support realy because its will not happen so i will say only one . last year riot added for junngle auto smite so you can't change it you realy need it . SO you guys can make it for any or only for support lane , so if you are support role you could not take another lane chempion only supports . i wolud happy of it . its no problem to win agaist any of them but Riot and you guys imagine how ADC feels when he have support chempion who cant protect her and cant help . Its so tilter ya? exacly

It isn't so much that supports got nerfed. Far from it.

Their ADCs got nerfed. Thanks to the changes in marksman items it really hit hard on ADC champions (Sivir, Jinx, MF, Vayne, etc). So the next logical step was, play something that normally isn't ADC in the ADC role and either do as much or more damage.

In response to this Supports have had to adapt heavily. We can't always play a proper support when we have a Karthus ADC now can we? So we tweak who we play, or even where we go.

Huh? Literally none of that is true. Every champion you listed is still played support a vast majority of the time.

You're right, while situationally they can be good with the right comp or against the right team, they're not really supports. Which is why they're very rarely played as supports.

This is the only one I'd agree with, but he still has aspects in his kit that are great for supports, so if it works, go for it.

When was the last time lux was even adjusted? Like over 6 months ago?

yes i know what are you talking about but lets face of truth can you go in op.gg or any of sites and see what rank have real support and what nonsupports? for example Tahm in 23th and brand 3rd

When I go to op.gg and look at supports, I see: Zyra Soraka Thresh Leona Blitzcrank Morgana Pyke Alistar Fiddlesticks Janna as top 10. champion.gg: Pyke Zyra Morgana Thresh Galio Nami Sona Velkoz Soraka

Those are all supports. Vel'koz is questionable, but he does have good zoning/poke with a slow, a knockup, and he has decent true damage.

For lux Buffs V9.1

V9.1 Lucent Singularity NEW EFFECT: Ability icon border now shows the remaining time to recast the ability. Final Spark NEW EFFECT: Can now ping whether the ability is within range or not.

Those aren't buffs. She hasn't gotten adjustments since 8.9, which was in May of last year.

Brand is a support and Zyra too. (We are inside a damage meta and these 2 supports fit very well)

Some support tanks struggle a little bit (Nautilus, Bard, Tham Kench, Taric). Enchanters power rely on the ADC's power and ADC have been at the weak site season 8.

Lux is pretty balanced at the moment (maybe a bit weak). She is out of meta in midlane and support.

Lux's last buff was in 8.9, not 9.1. She received an indicator for the recast of her E and the ability to ping when her ult is in range of enemies. Those are QOL changes, not buffs.

"Real supports" still hold up just fine to the midlanders like Zyra, Brand, and Vel'Koz going bot. Thresh, Alistar, and Pyke are still incredibly strong and can easily capitalize on the mid/supports lack of hard CC and peel.

Also as Dynikus mentioned, out of the top 10 supports, those mid/support champions take up 3-4 spots on the list at most.

Velkoz does not have a reliable clear and is consequently pretty weak in the midlane.

Zyra was specifcally balanced as a support FROM a mid role. If you want to know why, look at worlds 3 years ago. . .or the plethra of posts by her designer, 20thcenturyFaux, which says they couldn't balance her for both mid and support role, so they chose the support role.
