Idea : Revert Conqueror (5-35 ad version), and rename the current version as a new keystone

So heres my idea : Revert Conqueror.

I will try to be as constructive and clear as I can to explain my idea, considering these champions (Darius Aatrox Illaoi Kled Olaf Renekton Tryndamere Urgot Trundle Fiora, as well as Irelia Riven) use the keystone most of the time.

  1. TOP LANE BRUISERS LOST THEIR "HOLY GRAIL" : In my opinion, the first version of Conqueror was THE keystone top lane bruisers waited so long for . Yes, there were other interesting keystones, but when Conq appeared, top lane bruisers finally had a keystone to be truly proud of. Since they are not the game's heaviest damage dealers (as a category), that 20% true damage and 35 AD at lvl 18 was perfect. It can be really easy for any champions in the game to bring some armor into their builds, so having that flat 20% true damage gave a good fighting chance for every bruiser. This was the ultimate keystone. Now however, the rune feels like it has lost its original purpose...

  2. THE HEALING FEATURE IS UNNECESSARY : When Conqueror was brought into the rift, the main goal for that keystone was to give an opportunity for AD bruisers to deal more damage. Most of them already have sustain in their abilities and core builds ( Darius has his Q, Aatrox ... well he's Aatrox, Illaoi heals on tentacle hits, kled has his hyperboosted healthbar, olaf has his lifesteal ability, Renekton and Tryndamere have their Q and R, Urgot has his shield, Trundle has his Q, Fiora has her passive and her R, Irelia has her Q on hit health, Riven has her shield, etc. The point here is : most champions that use the rune right now didn't really need sustain in the first place. However, the healing feature on the rune has become a problem, which got the rune Nerfed over and over.

  3. THE STACK MECHANIC MADE IT BETTER FOR A FEW CHAMPIONS, WORSE FOR MANY : When the stack system was added into the game, the rune became WAY stronger on a few champions ( mostly Irelia and Riven ), since these champions can cast a lot abilities and attack very fast in a small amount of time, gaining the 5 stacks bonus rather quickly, too quickly even (Which is probably why the rune was nerfed 3 times since its rework). However, many champions that frequently used the old version see the actual version of the rune as a huge nerf (Champions like Aatrox Darius Tryndamere Fiora and Illaoi) Now, these champions have to hit an enemy champion with spells and basic attacks 5 times to gain the full bonus, which now gives 8% true damage/heal and 18 AD at level 18, compared to 20% true damage and 35 AD at level 18 with the older version. Yes, there is a tiny healing and stack factor added into the mix, but giving how unnecessary and of very little help these factors are compared to the older version of the rune, the whole rework feels like a nerf for most champions.

BUT, since conqueror has become a weapon of choice for some champions in the game, there is no need to get rid of it to bring the old version back to life. I would personally enjoy it if either the current version or the old version was "reintroduced" as a "new" Keystone for the Precision Tree, while the other one could simply remain "Conqueror".

This is my personal opinion. Knowing that I am of human nature, there is a high chance that I have missed a few details here and there, but I believe my point is not totally worthless : bring back old conqueror.

Feel free to let me know what you think of this idea, if you agree or disagree, blablablah.

Thanks.

THE HEALING FEATURE IS UNNECESSARY :

it's the biggest issue. it isn't needed. champions would run it that have decent AD ratios. you gain AD per hit, so for champions like Riven/aatrox, the end of their combo, which has the most AD scaling and burst potential, reaches the max potential, thus making other damage runes such as comet and electrocute inferior.
