That's great and all, but frankly, they should have been out 4 years ago when they were announced as "practically finished". Plus, it's an incredibly basic feature that practically every other serious competitive game has. (Starcraft 2, Heroes of the Storm, DotA 2, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive all function perfectly with no issues. SMITE has one that only functions 25% of the time, but still has the framework at a minimum.)
If anything, Riot should probably be forced to face the music for not having such an essential tool until JUST NOW, 4 years since they announced it as (and I quote again) "practically finished". What makes it even more hilariously stupid (besides the fact LoL is one of the top 3 eSports in the world) is that 3rd-parties have been providing the tool for YEARS, which isn't an excuse for Riot to not make the tools sooner.

I feel like an official replay system isnt even needed. Anyone that wanted them could just go to replay.gg or other sites and saving the replays of every single person is gonna take a lot of data storage... room... thing.. right?
I could have replays before. What we've been wanting is a queue that's free of premades. We haven't gotten that yet, and still won't even after the "solo" queue comes back.
They listen about things that don't actually fix their game.
They're unneeded features when their gameplay is currently suffering.
At this rate, damage will continue to be absurdly over-tuned across the board by the end of Season 7 as well.

because they listened a long time ago but found a problem that would enable hackers, so they didn't do it. Still, glad they finally found a way to get it done!

Listens.... Yeah a couple years after it was brought in the spotlight and already implemented in other similar games (csgo, dota2). They used to listen tho I can't take that from Riot, time changed their ways I guess.
I wouldnt call implementing something players have asked for since day 1 as "listening" RIOT doesnt listen to us, you can tell because it takes them YEARS add to the game what people ask for. If 90% of board posts talking about nerfs are aimed at Yasuo, RIOT still wont care, they change the game to cater to what they want, what their chinese overlords want, and what the pros want, thats all it is

They didn't listen about the damage fervor will do to on hit champs, or the damage the jungle is doing to single target junglers with less than strong jungle clears, the boards called out the problem vayne will cause with duskblade before the patch even dropped, lets not forget all the regular complaints about lee even before they buffed him for worlds, it was called out jayce buff was a really bad idea....
