Every player played against warmog soraka throwing literally free heals.
Edit : At least when they interact with champions in combat. Right now casting helpful spells to allies does not triggers combat at all. I was against a soraka in my last game, which stalled the game for 20 mins :)
Eedat2 votesJust remove Warmog from ARAM period. That thing gives way too much healing for the mode. I can understand Lifesteal because you actually need something to attack which is very limited. Warmogs you just stand in a corner not doing anything and get healed for 3k HP over and over
ahferroin72 votesCombat isn't what determines warmogs healing, damage is. The correct way to handle this is to actually think and hit her every few seconds to reset warmogs.
Sunbird2 votesSo, why her W self damage is not cancelling it ? Plus the problem starts when a fight breaks out, soraka and a few champions survive - they are back to full HP. Or simply presence of a soraka means all the poke is invalidated, normally it is balanced by soraka healing by sacrificing her health and risking herself to fish out some Q healing.
Warmog on soraka just removes the counterplay and risk, she simply spams W and the health cost is refunded in 5 seconds. The poke is out of the table, on top of her obnoxious redemption, summoner spell heal and her ult.
So, "direct hp removal" mechanic should also trigger damage taken event on the champion.
ahferroin72 votesHP costs aren't self damage. This has been stated so many times by Riot and other people I can't even begin to list them. It's the case on EVERYONE who has an HP cost (Aatrox, Zac, Mundo, Vlad, and yes, Soraka). The only exception is Olaf's Reckless Swing, but that explicitly deals damage to him.
You're also ignoring Raka's mana dependence (healing people to full HP after a fight is expensive in terms of mana for her), and you know, the fact that you need to focus the healer.
