Proof that Kalista is an abomination from another realm

Recently I've noticed something about Kalista; something that nobody else has seemed to notice.

Let's take a look at Blood Moon Kalista.

Nothing out the ordinary, right? Wrong. Take a closer look at her forehead. The symbol looks strikingly similar to...

...the symbol for Oblivion.

If you've never played an Elder Scrolls Game, Oblivion is more or less equivalent to Hell. And the creatures from Oblivion attempt to escape from their plane of Oblivion to ours, and mess stuff up. I feel the easiest way to prevent another Oblivion Crisis is to simply banish Kalista back to where she came. It's not rocket science people, it's common sense.

Kallista can cause an Oblivion Crisis, but Graves can't have a cigar

Mannysmoker26 votes

Ikr rip Graves's manly cigar.

Idea for graves rework passive: smoke break- while graves is out of battle, he smokes a cigar, giving him bonus mana regen (like Garen 's passive, but with mana) there you go, he can smoke again :P

Silven6 votes

It should be taking away mana or health or something cause smoking kills and we're all very easily influencable children who have never been told about cancer. Cringeworthy sarcasm

If they didn't get rid of the cigar they would have gotten sued from certain countries that don't allow tobacco use in real life, shows and video games.

Gragas, Esq.

hey, shut up you, they haven't complained about him yet so riot hasn't had to do anything about it. Don't draw attention to it

TheLastShadow451 votes

That skin might not be in those countries. It's Graves classic so it had to be done.

DrCyanide1 votes

Which isn't a default skin, and is thus outside the "core" game in the same way that the A New Dawn video is.

Unless you were implying they should remove the cigar from the video as well, which at this point I'd approve of to end this pointless circlejerk.

Graves is one of the ones used in advertising was the only actual issue. He's an incredibly popular character all around. Gragas was ignored on release and likely won't be used for advertising in most countries and if he is, they won't use that skin to do so!

To be fair: Cigars cause cancer, Kalista is a tumor.

One sets a bad example, the other is the result of that example.

Mr Wright II1 votes

yet... Gragas can?

Zair Umbras5 votes

With Gragas's weight, he ain't living long enough to get cancer.

Dude, that is all muscle. As you can plainly see when Gragas uses body slam he knocks them back because he is a solid barrel chested man. Were it all complete fat he would more likely absorb the enemies into his stomach and they would then be stuck in the water temple from ocarina of time without a hookshot.

Bethesda: rubs hands "Hello lawsuit"

Keevalroy6 votes

Yes...yeess this is good - very good news. Bethesda will sue Riot for the rights to own her and win...and then she'll never be in another league game ever again!

What are you waiting for?? Get some lawyers pronto before Riot can react!

Ariel the Cruel1 votes

You mean Zenimax.

IcyPepper18 votes

Well that certainly explains the Shadow Isles.

The Ruined King's sword must be a daedric artifact.

Mistress Madoka1 votes

What, like Goldbrand or the Ebony Blade? Dawnbreaker?

Davy Crockett11 votes

There's a reason we are called "Summoners".... Oh wait. I forgot.

Ariel the Cruel10 votes

Ok... I'm going to be that guy.

  1. That symbol is actually the letter "O" in the daedric alphabet. Not the symbol for Oblivion.
  2. Oblivion has no relation to hell. It's an entirely separate plane of existence 2.5) Oblivion is further made up of separate pocket dimensions, each controlled by one of the daedric princes.
  3. Most daedra actually view the Elder scrolls races the same way we do wild animals. Hunted primarily for sport. (Imps are roughly equated to dogs.)

As I recall, there are 4 daedric realms that have been notably explored in the cannon. The first Mehrunes Dagon: the realm seen all throughout tES4. Second: the 2 sided realm from one of the tES4 expansions. Third: The realm that was invaded during the early days of the imperial empire, then turned into the BattleSpire prison. (That totally ended well.) And fourth: One of the books in tES3 was a record of an expedition made into a realm that was described as an endless library.

Was kinda waiting for "that guy" to appear.

  1. While that is true, the symbol above is used as the symbol of conjuration, which is primarily summoning from Oblivion.

  2. Mehrune Dagon's plane looks similar similar to the common idea of Hell.

2.5) Yeah, I was just keeping it simple it for any pleb who didn't play Oblivion.

  1. In almost every case, summoned Daedra who break free from their binding to the summoner, or ones that are summoned unbound, will attack creatures on sight.

If some @$$hole yanked you into another dimension and tried to put a leash on you while you were in the middle of a shower; how would you react?

But then. tES lore is filled with all kinds of fun little odds and ends. Like wood elves actually being shape shifters. But trapped in their 1 form as divine punishment. (Hence why they can talk to pretty much anything.)

Immediately I thought of the story of a DnD game where a goblin messed up a summoning circle for demons, and summoned a Lemure (a devil) instead, then proceeded to kill it. The person telling the story said, "At this time, we don't know the consequences of this action."

To which, someone else responded that most devils eat Lemures, so it's less like murder and more like a trans-dimensional hobo stealing your chickens.

I'm not the greatest one into lore of TES but do you not visit a deadric realm in a Skyrim expansion? I have very bad memory on that plane because i really disliked it, although i loved sheogorath's plane and the references he makes to other TES games, just wondering what the plane of that flying eyeball was.

  1. When you go to Coldharbor in tESOTU
Mistress Madoka1 votes

Just for Further Clarification:

Mehrunes Dagon's Plane of Oblivion is named "The Deadlands" I'm Assuming the "2 Sided Realm" you're referring to is "The Shivering Isles", the realm of Sheogorath The Battlespire Prison is in Hircine's realm, Which has not been given an official name And the fourth one you Mention can only be Apocrypha, the Realm of Hermaeus Mora (Which you get to Explore in Skyrim's "Dragonborn" DLC)

So.... illuminati confirmed?

Celeste Benal1 votes

Well, considering the mythological connotations to the Blood Moon series of skins, that makes perfect sense.

Mistress Madoka1 votes

The Blood moon Skins are more meant to reference Japanese Mythologies rather than Anything Elder Scrolls Related

If you haven't played oblivion go and play it. League can wait.

Zair Umbras1 votes

But Skyrim is like... so much more interesting with more mods. D:

Ariel the Cruel1 votes

If you need more mods to make it more interesting... There may be a problem. ;p

Zair Umbras1 votes

But.. that's how you play Bethesda games properly! With mods. All of their games are good, but they're even better with mods.
