Does anyone know which patch Sona was last nerfed in?
I know it was recently but I can't seem to find it. o.o

These are the recent patches she's been nerfed in:

#BetterNerfSona....again.
http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_l9h4g25Tg81qaqps8o1_500.jpg "Hey, Squid, I found all of the future Season 5 patch notes!" -"Oh? Let me see..." "And guess what? All the notes about nerfing Sona are listed in red!" -"..but everything's in re-" "YEAH, I KNOW!"
She was nerfed in 5.1. That's the most recent patch.
Er. 5.1?
She had her move speed and q's power chord damage amplification reduced slightly this patch.
The damage nerf is NOT on Q, it was on Staccato. It was reduced by a full 1/5, I'd hardly call that "slight." As for her movement speed, it was lowered all the way down to the slowest tier.
If it's not on her Q than there's an error in the patch notes, as I don't actually play her enough to know what moves are what off the top of my head, but the notes describe it as a change to her Q. (edit: ok, so Staccato is the Q power chord effect and when the notes refer to the damage amplification, they mean the extra oomf on the power chord, and not the damage amplification given by her q's aura. I don't think my phrasing was wrong per se, but I se how it might be misleading so I'll edit to explicitly say power chord.)
When I said slight I was mainly thinking of move speed, as that according to the patch notes went from 330 to 325, and 5 points of move speed is not a huge amount. The damage amplification changed from 50% to 40%, the significance of which is debatable. It sounds slight to me, but again I don't play her so active sona players might be crying. In any case, the significance of the changes are besides the point, the main thing is they happened in the 5.1 patch.
Considering Sona was sitting at the 2nd slowest movement tier, it wouldn't have been **impossible **to lower it any more than they did.
Let's think about the change in a 2-dimensional sense. The x-axis are your boots and other movement items, while the y-axis is your actual movement speed. The y-intercept is 325 movement speed, thus ZERO. Anything above 325 is positive and below is of course negative. At the x-intercept, the highest y value is 30 (355 MS). Sona previously sat at 5 (330 MS) and was lowered by 5 down to the y-intercept (zero). 5 / 5 = 100%
Thus we can state that Sona's movement speed in this patch was reduced by 100%.
I'm quite sure if you actually stated that Sonas movement speed was reduced by 100% people would conclude that you don't understand math, as sona can still move.
If you want to use a somewhat arbitrarily chosen graph that places movement speed on one axis and bonus movement speed on another that's fine, but what happens on the x axis is entirely irrelevant in a discussion about the value of the y axis (ie the movement speed). If you're keen to make things sound bad by talking about 100% losses, then you can say she lost 100% of the difference between the lowest base move speed tier and the second lowest, but that's somewhat wordy and doesn't mean much to someone who doesn't know how big that difference is. Much better to say that sona had her base movespeed reduced by 5 points, or better yet to say her base movespeed is now the same as caitlyn/soraka/many others instead of the same base movespeed as alistar/graves/others as she was previously, since people are probably more familiar playing with champions than they are thinking about movespeeds in unfamiliar units.
Much better to say that sona had her base movespeed reduced by 5 points, or better yet to say her base movespeed is now the same as caitlyn/soraka/
So in other words, play it off as just "no big deal." Or, I can take your same biased logic and say she's now 10 MS slower than Nami, aka; playable Sona, or Sona 2.0
If you mean before the latest: 4.20 (November 20th).
You can find all of her changes over time if you scroll down to the bottom of here.
I'm more inclined to simply give the absolute numbers or number relative to other champions and allow people to make their own judgements about how big of a deal it is.
You're welcome to compare her to Nami, although I'm pretty sure she's 15 MS slower than Nami now rather than 10.
