Autofill/support

The best solution is to remove autofill entirely or better yet remove the support role which is the only legitimate reason for autofill. The VAST majority of players do not want to play support so why not simply remove the role entirely and solve the problem? Even children know to pull their fingers out of boiling water, why can't riot pull it's finger out of boiling water? It's so simple that it begs the question of whether they have reached the reasoning ability of a 9-month-old baby after a running a game for nearly a decade.

When I played ranked, I queued as support/fill. I've been filled into every other role when other people wanted support too.

A. "The VAST majority" is a really, really big exaggeration. It's more like 90% of players don't main/play support often, but that's not very impressive when the average for each role is 80%. B. If they removed support, a large amount of players would be very angry, support mains, ADC mains, Blitzcrank one-tricks, people who enjoy game balance, people who like Janna, Nami, Soraka, etc. Players would quit, and far more players would quit than players would join if you removed the role. C. Riot would have to rework every single champion that is currently played in the support role right now. There are around 25 champs that are primarily supports, and that's a lot of extra work for them.

It's not gonna happen because it's too big of a change, regardless of whether it's good for game balance. (also, doing that would essentially create a 4v4, which requires a LOT of changes. Somehow I feel like you didn't grasp the enormity of what you're suggesting...)

It's not really worth it in the long run.

Responsibility is avoided by almost everyone. It feels a bit like being put into the fire. I don't suggest you follow that trend.
