Ranked should only be accessible to champions with level 5 masteries

Hi guys and girls,

I have been playing this game for so long now and I love it. There is one thing that really stresses me out do. And that so much that sometimes I want to stop playing this game. You all have been there I bet.

I will explain short:

You play games. Start doing normals. Getting better. Then you start selecting your lane and playing it making it your primary lane. After it, you start playing drafts. Your masteries level is growing. You become the specialist with your champ and in your lane.
Some of you are level 5 masteries some of you are level 6 some or 7. So eventually you go for ranked. All is good you apply for your first solo/duo match. You start the game with your team and then you find out that half of your team is still learning to play on their champions.

WAIT.

Do you play ranked to learn the champ?

Well, that would be a wrong thing to do ..... and after 30-40 mins of ranked game you get owned and the feeling sucks. Your team let you down and you let your team down. Alright then you go for another one and you get the same thing. After some time you will find that this is a normal thing, especially in Bronze.

So here is my suggestion dear RIOT.

Bronze ranked games should only be accessed with champions min level 5 masteries.

Silver and above should not have that requirement BUT once you drop from silver to Bronze the rule above apply.

I know you need 20 champs to enter ranked, still, you should also need to know to play on those 20 champs.

Suggestion 5 champs level 5 masteries and 15 champs level 3.

It is that simple. And everybody will love it.

5 might be too high, but I could go for 3.

That is better still then atm

That would pose a massive problem with you needing at least 20 champs to play ranked.

An Aditional rule is required.

You need 20 champs and 5 champions with level 5 masteries in order to enter ranked.

It sounds harsh but then people would actually play champs they know how to play and in the end, it would improve gameplay

SO much talk and all for nothing because you did not put a single thought in how FREAKING LONG it would take for a new player to play his first game of ranked.

You need at least 20 Champs to join Ranked. Assuming 1000 points per win, you would need round about.... 800-1000 games and ONLY if you play NO OTHER CHAMP except the 20... as a new player... who SHOULD play every champ at least one or two times during the free rotation...

Yep... sounds fun... sounds fair...

And just btw... I - someone who played since season 2 who played at Diamond with 2000-3000+ games would not be allowed to play ranked (assuming I'd drp to bronze for some reason)... and I'm quite sure you would kick you selfe out of ranked as well. x'D

GREAT IDEA!

And what on earth this bronze rule is supposed to do?!?

It's very simple actually ..... you need 20 champs yes. But do you play all 20?

You play 5-6 champs main. Rest not so much.

So yeah I would put that you need level 5 masteries for ranked.

You need 20 champs and 5 champions with level 5 masteries in order to enter ranked.

The whole point of the 20 champ req is so if in all the 19 other bans and picks you are Garen teed to have someone to play. With only 5 or 6 you may get completely picked/banned out and be forced to dodge or something.

Yes and if you take a look above I did mention that one solution would be 5 level 5 and 15 level 3 masteries. This way people would learn how to play on champs. What is the point of people entering ranked if they are learning champs?

So it is not a lot asked to get 5 champs to lvl 5 and 15 to lvl 3

I think that the problem would be off roles. Getting lvl 5 is far from impossible, but you would need multiple champs in these off roles: if you get autofilled support and they ban your blitz, and then they pick thresh (your second go-to support) you may be stuck with lee support or something as unviable.

Agree but still think it's just wrong to enter ranked to learn champs. When you unlock 20 champs chances are the player knows how to play 5 of 20. Then you get all those ranked games where you have all except fun

Just because you're level 5+ in something it doesn't really mean anything. an entire team of level 7s can get dusted by a bunch of rank 1s. It doesnt necessarily mean youre good with said champ. It just means you play them a lot and are familiar with the mechanics of the champ for the most part. Having level 5+ doesn't make you immune to having bad games or matchups as you seem to think it does

I agree still it would improve the knowledge of the champs played in ranked. Right now it's just bad

I mean like, i dont dislike the idea, but if someone thinks he is ready to play Ranked, then so be it. Ranked is for improving. And if they are so bad, they will drop low enough anyway.
