Why is no one getting this as second item??

I know this item sucks as starting item and most of the times would be better but that thing is perfect as a second item. Back the first time get and a few and you are set... Yeah, that item depends on kills to get your money back.... No it doesn't, at a cost of 350g it sits at a ridiculous 130% gold efficiency without its passive , add the passive and you get even more, now couple that with the pots you get on early game and it sits on a stupid 220% gold efficiency (at 3 pots) at 0 stacks

Why anyone hasn't caught up to it yet??? Don't upgrade it, just keep it as a dark seal until you need more space on the inventory, then sell it (oh you also get 350g at selling it btw) and get a flat AP item, or if stacked enough and feeling risky you can't upgrade it (although i believe is a downgrade the mejia since you lose more stacks per death and takes a space for 20 AP base)

Why not even the LCS are getting it? What am I missing?

Even if you are not planning on snowballing, the item itself has pretty good gold efficiency. I don't know why people go either Tome or a second ring f they are forced back early.... you are not getting more out of those items

because Dark Seal only upgrades into item 3041 which is a snowball item.

item 1082 is probably only good when you build item 2033 Or in Singed as he gets more hp with mana.

The thing with item 1082 is that its more efficient as a first build, as early on is when potions are the most efficient, then they start recovering a lower % of your hp, so no good as a second buy.

My problem with the dark seal is that buying an item like that is BEGGING the enemy jungler to camp you. Not to mention mages need CDR and mana usually before more ap

Well Valid points.

A few burst mages can go for the extra AP instead, then again the item is 350g and the passive (makes potions 20% more effective) and the stash mastery plus your ring you actually get a lot of mana regen back. CDR is usually a more expensive item of at least 850g.

As for the jungler, i'm getting camped pretty much everygame anyway. Most junglers on low elo just go for mid anyway.

item 1082 as a first buy on sona, Thunderlords and max q first you can out trade almost anybody, get 2-4 assists and rush ardent censer. if your adc cant kill anything that moves your doing it wrong.
