The 2016 preseason update and how I see it

I haven't played League of Legends for long... but this 2016 preseason update looks like a dismal future for players. I have played a plethora of games after this preseason update became live and I can't say I like it. Matches quickly become one sided once two or three, or even one, opponent(s) or teammate(s) gains level advantage. It feels next to impossible to make a comeback once one side has the advantage and it quickly becomes a ff@20 match. One of my fellow summoners and I sat down to look through our match history and used our knowledge of the current statistics of champions. Based off what we found, my main champ,Gangplank , and many like him, are almost obsolete due to their lack of significant scaling compared to the buffs many other champions have received. This and the cost of items many champions requires to become effective, also adds a level of difficulty to the game. Though it is easier to gain gold since this update, when you get shut down, its almost impossible to continue on the fight as you loose out on the much more precious cs and are unable to compete with the over leveled, well funded opponents. We also both felt that the new Mastery system is too generalized and reduces the amount of customizing that can be done on a champion to fit one's play-style. During our search, we found, in our personal match history, the more tanks the team had, the better their odds of winning became. It feels that the LOL meta is slowly becoming one where four tanks and a bursty adc will win you the game every time.

I'm almost positive many will not agree with me on this idea, but I welcome any feed back and thoughts the community might have. I'm sure that im missing out on some important things that I have yet to notice, but for now, LOL has become a very painful experience for me to play. Thoughts anyone?

Gangplank is hard to use now because mana regen was destroyed early while games are too short for him to scale up. It's what you get for playing a late game champ in this meta. You were born in the wrong era... season 4 and 5 were better days...

Gangplank's actually rather well off in terms of overall win rate, given his skill curve artificially pushing his win rate down. That and he's still used irregularly in the LCS, warranting that he is at least competitively viable if you know what to do with him.
