Better to finish placements now or wait?

I did 6 placement matches mid-season 9 one night when I drank a little bit too much and needless to say, didn't do so well. I had 1 win and 5 losses. From my understanding it gives you a low "minimum" rank you can get and each win during placement boosts you up a bunch. I currently have a conditional rank of Iron I. Should I finish my placements now in preseason, or wait until season 10 starts and do them all then? I'd expect my skill level to be something like bronze, maybe low silver.
