[Rent] + [Suggestion] The Veigar change isn't as bad as you think.

Although I am not a midlane main, Veigar has been my go to for a long time when I would get that role so like everyone when I saw the changes to compensate the removal of dfg, I felt pretty betrayed to the point of considering to post a complainte like all the others. But after testing the little guy on the pbe, I was surprisingly pleased because they made viegar safer, smoother and focuses his abilities on what they were ment to do.

Q: This spell change is more buff/quality of life change to his kit. 200 more range mean that you can stay further away to safe farm but the change to a "Lightbinding-type" skillshot first means you can kill specific minions by hiting them behind the first target but you can also use the second hit in cool ways like killing two minions with one Q, farming and poking with one Q, farming behind a zoneing enemy, or my alltime favorite, getting a flash Q doublekill (#best feeling).

W: It was good before and it is good now. The only difference is that because of the E change you now have thé choice to put points into it which you just didn't want to do before.

E: Oh you. This skill is the most contreversal thing in this change. Yes the E now has a delay but it didn't lose the former effectes and now has a lower cooldown, mana cost, longer range ane most importantly has a delay particule. If you used to play veigar without smartcast, trying to hit ennemies on the wall's edge then this change is Riot's way of saying "that's not how you use this spell". Why do you think they kept the round shaped wall that doesn't stun in the middle? It's because it isn't a stun spell, it's a zoneing spell. When you are court inside three choices are open to you:

  1. You stay inside for thé 3 secondes. Inside you can cast spells but you are immobilised and give viegar and co more time to get on your face or run away.
  2. You go thought the wall. If you walk, you are stuned on the wall and if you dash you are stunned once the dash finished. This option means you trade a long zoneing duration for a for a shorter duration of hard CC.
  3. You blink out, aka Flash. If you do so you don't get CCed but you waisted a 5 minute cooldown spell.

Because of this, casting E's wall On the target was always suboptimal since you don't give the enemy the choice and lose the potential 3 second zone as well as the possible free flash. However with the the delay, casting to zone is more effective because the zone stars as soon as the particule appears! Now you may say that this is not usefull if you are agenst high mobility mids like Zed, Ahri, Kassadin or Fizz to which I say that they where his counters before and are rightfully still his counters now, as early kill based champs when he is a low mobility farm base champ ( who's farming is easier thanks to the Q changes ). Furthermore, most of the his counters are just too strong in general and are being worked on anyway.

[Suggestion]- Although I say all this, one change seems to be needed on this spell, that being to reduce or take away veigar's immobilisation animation during cast as is makes him too vulnerable for too long regarding the change since anyone can just flash-stun you as soon as the animation starts.

R: Please. 20% less AP scaling on an already 120% AP scaling for lower cooldown and 100 less mana to cast? That is the best thing to happen to the him since...ever. That's it.

Overall I belive this change is in the right direction. It isn't perfect but neither is the champion nor the game. I encourage anyone with a working Pbe account TO TEST HIM OUT FOR YOURSELF. I'm not a pro, hardly even a silver level but if a champion feels good to play you can't tell mei'm wrong. So go and try him out and tell me what you think AFTER so we can make Veigar the best he can be.

He needs something on his E. A slow inside the cage that allows W to land but still allow some counterplay.

Other than that I think he's fine. A VU would be nice.
