DuoQ still has a large gap

Currently plat and get matched up with people who are duo and its like a gold 5 and plat 2 the gold 5 gets absolutely crushed , why isn't the quo queue requirement a set amount of divisions say 5 so plat 5 and gold 5 etc, I am sure this has been talked about before but it is extremely frustrating to see a 0/5/0 elise at 20 minutes in because they are not used to playing against higher elo players and struggle to do anything, any thoughts about this?

I thought that they had already implemented this so you could only duo with someone who is one whole league above you (i.e Gold 5 and plat 5 like you said) but maybe they only have it set up for next season.

They do, but you can duo with a plat 2 or 1 if you are gold 5 and get matched up with plat 4s and high plat 5s or so it seems to me, and almost always the gold 5 has a really hard time
