Two S ranks with Karma and no chest...

I've played 2 matches with Karma where I got an S rank in the last few days and both times have not gotten a chest. The only chest I did receive was a mate that got a S on Alistar. I posted in help and support and they deleted it. They said this is the forum I should be posting in...

Did you play Karma when your friend got S rank on Alistar?

That'd do it.

You can only get one chest per champ per season. If you played Karma the game that the Ali got you the chest then you can't get another one with Karma this season.

That's not true. unless there's a chest next to karma on his champ list.

Yes, that is true actually. Where do you think the chest next to the champion comes from?

How did you get a chest next to karma but alistar got the S?

If you are in a premade group, if one person gets an S, everyone in the premade gets a chest on the champion they played, no matter what rank they got. That's just how the system works.

For example, I was playing Morgana with my friend who played Gnar. I got an S, he got an A. We both got a chest (me for Morgana, him for Gnar).

So even when you don't get an S the champ you played with still gets credit for the chest? Ok. A little weird but I guess that sorta makes sense.

It's so if you're playing with friends, and let's say you are support with a buddy who is your ADC. Maybe your strategy is that you pull the aggro and sacrifice yourself constantly so that your ally can reign unchallenged. It's very hard to play a game where everyone gets an S, but if you utilize teamwork properly then odds are someone will get one. It's so that people don't become afraid to make sacrifices or take chances with plays.
