Help me pick a champion to play?

Hi! I've been really looking to try branching out to try some new champs and not just play my mains 24/7 (Some that I enjoy include Evelynn, Camille, Qiyana, Ivern) I feel like my reasons for playing a champion is amaybe a little different than why some other people play a champ, like for a certain playstyle and such. Rather, what I finally realized what I enjoy about a character is kind of the fantasy they fulfill, like the general feel the character gives off (personality/background/lore). So if anyone could suggest a main that fits my criteria I'd really apreciate it!

The main role I have in mind is Top or Mid, but honestly any role is cool

I've always been a big stickler on playing champs that are generally "updated", meaning like smoother models/voice lines/appearance/ animations etc. I'd rather not play an Udyr, with a clunky model and lame voice lines. TLDR, just not a champion thats hecka old, have some nicer voice lines and animations.
I really like champions with a distinct personality/ background. for example, like Evelynn is a flirty succubi, Camille has a sharp/cold tone, Qiyana's snobby rich girl personality and Ivern's happy-go-lucky theme. I feel like most champions fit in this category, and this ties into point one, since the ones without distinct personas are typically the older champions.

Extra - Actual playstyle-wise, I'm cool with mostly anything, if anything the one thing id NOT want though are those early-oriented champs, who have a strong early game and start falling off fast. Im not saying no to anyone whos a lane bully, but i just generally dislike poorly scaling champs.

Last minute add, but also I'd prefer something thats not too... "boring" in a sense. Like I'd rather not do something like Morgana, which anyone can pick up easily in a couple games, I like a challenge. But also just a champion that has a really unique trait/ability is nice :)

Tank Karthus mid.

Step 1. Look up Aquadragons guide. Step 2. have 3-5 highly Obnoxious and tilting Emotes. Step 3. Spamm emotes all match and hit E when some one is in range. Step 4. Get focused and win the game for your team as you kite away. If you fk up... hey got dat passive! Step 5. Let your enemys know you outplayed them with the very difficult and high skill cap required to... Tap E once to toggle it then run in circles around some one.

This is pretty much the S3 Global Taunt Teemo effect and its glorious during Summer break given the influx of low maturity players.

Its honestly A good deal of fun thou takes a bit of learning to get the playpattern down. Aqua is far better at it then I will ever be. He doesn't have to resort to using Emotes to Trigger folks into rushing you.

I try to avoid being toxic so... If I don't see some enemy Flash their Mastery emotes, stutter step, and/or spam /L /T I just play it normal with no spam. If they do that? gloves are off.

HAHAH I Love it XDDD I actually do the same thing with reworked Kayle and they get all triggered and int as they towerdive me UwU Karthus actually does seem really cool though, I rewatched that Pentakill video of his and it was pretty cool

I can recommend Swain. Recently updated, strong thematic, distinct personality, unique gameplay, I feel like he fits everything you've asked for.

Aatrox or Sylas?

Those are some fun Mid/Top Laners.

Sylas is extremely unique with his abilities (especially his ult steal), and recently came out and just a bit ago was mini reworked.

Aatrox is unique and very fun to play, and kept getting changed over and over again.

OOh yeah Aatrox does seem really cool! I'll admit im one of those cringey people that likes imitating champ voice lines (heh srry not srry) so Aatrox's whole WaR, DiE, I KiLl YoU kinda thing would get me going XD

Hmm sylas does fit my criteria, but honestly seeing him get nerf after nerf after nerf every single patch makes him slightly less appealing lmao Thx for the suggestion! :D

I read this and immediately thought Katarina. I might be a little biased as I sorta main katarina but she fits every one of your criteria’s and is somewhat of a challenge to play and master. Her persona I find is more of this bloodthirsty Assassins who just wants to murder everyone on the battle field. I also feel that Evelynn also has that bloodthirsty persona as I also love playing her and so I think kat would be a good next choice. You should really try her out.

Ooh nice idea! I do find Kat's model a little clunky, but her playstyle seems like so much fun! I think I tried her once and was complete garbage at her she was hard for me to pick up XD Thanks for the tip, I'll definitely look over her again! :D

Pantheon... Cant find more flashy champ right now. His art looks like legendary skin and guy have decent set of abilities~ ranged poke, dash-stun and wall that makes Yasuo yelous.

Ooh playing the new daddy champ UwU [sg-lux] Hahaha True he does look very cool, but I kinda feel he has Mordekaiser Syndrome where hes like definitely cool and all, but just gets a little boring after a while (no offense to morde players, he is very cool) But thanks for the suggestion, I'll keep it in mind! :D

I am going to suggest my main, Taric. He is viable in all roles except ADC and can be built in 4 different ways. He can be a tank support with zeke's, locket, knight's vow; an enchanter with mikaels, ardent censer, etc.; a fighter with manamune, iceborn/triforce, and juggernaut items; and he can be built full tank. In jungle, all 4 smite items are viable. His versatility keeps him fresh by switching up his play style. I have never gotten bored playing him at almost 1 mil mastery.

As for his lore and quotes, he is pretty modern after his rework. He is also not really on riot's radar with low play rate so he is not changed often.

Ooh that sould lit! I actually do really like champions who are able to build a ton of different items and adapt when need be, that sounds nice! Ooh good point I do hate it when the champs I play get nerfed/changed often.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'm actually very intrigued by Taric now! Also I had that Bloodstone (i think) Taric skin shard in my loot so maybe that'll come to good use UwU
