running along 5 man strong all at full health after backing when suddenly a wild fizz appears and troll polls right into the center of us. insta killing 4 and 1 autoing to penta. idk about u but im not seeing the balance here...
Lord Dusteon2 votesLet's assume Fizz has 1000 AP (...extremely unlikely) and Luden's.
E's damage is 270 (+.75 AP); Luden's adds 100 (+.15 AP), making the total 370 (+.9 AP).
Even with 1000 AP, Fizz's E with Luden's only does 1270 magic damage before resistances. With base resistances (30) this is lowered to 977 magic damage.
If your entire team had NOBODY with a max health over 977 than your problem is you somehow A) fed Fizz constantly and massively for him to get full build, and B) your entire team somehow got struck by a case of stupids and never passed level 5 or so.

You said, and I quote, "troll polls right into the center of us. insta killing 4". You did not say he ulted, Q'd, and then E'd, you said he E'd and instantly killed 4. Which is impossible.
