While you are looking into obnoxious abilities, please rework yasuo windwall

Przykot··22 votes·1,296 views

Just please, do something about it. This ability is obnoxious and has no counterplay. Yasuo dash around like crazy and when his wall is down he just run away only to dash in again. I can't farm because my lane is pushed and I can't fight because his aa dmg is overwhelming. It's highly annoying his damage output is way too big and unhealthy so combined with total projectile blocking he's unplayable against. He is the only champion who is pick or ban who wasn't touched yet while Zoe was constantly trashed with nerfs since release.

Like seriously he isn't even fun to play against. No matter which champion I pick I always die to him. I don't want my season 8 recap to display his face as he did in season 7. Come on do something about it. idk, limit amount of projectiles it can take, disable his double crit passive, make his damage smaller or remove his stupid shield passive. Why is he even allowed to have so many passives? Please shift his power to something else which make him less obnoxious.

Yup, worth everyone of my bans. I suggest you do the same.

A great yas is almost impossible to beat in a 1v1. He does have weaknesses but they are in a small window between his wall and shield. I've found heavy cc is the best but you won't win the damage unless you have help.

Maybe take spellbook with smite. Then you can smite his shield away (one less thing to worry about), then trade for something else later.

Off meta picks might help, I like fiddle against him. 2.5 stun at max. Mega tank in lane against him. Like Mao or Cho mid to stop his damage from one shorting.

Just ideas to help. Best counter against him is a ban though. Lol

I disagree. Honestly, all of CertainlyT champions have strengths AND weaknesses. Take Zoe for example, as annoying as she can be (again I have no issues with her), she still have several weaknesses. Bruisers hopping in on a Zoe (Jax, Irelia, Aatrox, Darius, etc) can EASILY kill her. She has no dash, no escape (other than flash(s)). When paying attention to what Zoe has available, dodging, and using your own champions kit, you can definitely out-play and enjoy lanes against them.

I also think Vladimir is extremely over-tuned and has a more toxic kit than Yasuo, Zoe, or Kalista, yet I do not cry out against Vlad mains, the champion, or the designer. I simply recognize that I have something to improve in my own game-play and work to improve.

It's actually fairly easy. You're only being attacking from 2000+ range without your own knowledge due to lack of good vision. Additionally, you're not being attacked from 2000+ range (that's quite a large exaggeration), Zoe has to get within a decently close range to even deal damage, and to deal a full Q damage has to prepare a lot and can miss quite easily.

Next time you play mid lane and see a Zoe, pick Annie into her. It's a super fun match-up. Every time she presses R you just walk past her or flash tibbers for a free kill.

100% guarantee you that Jax Irelia MasterYi Tryndamere Vladimir can all 1v1 Yasuo and win.

I honestly have no problems with Yasuo. I can see where frustration against the wind wall comes from, but IMO just like EVERY other champion in League of Legends, Yasuo does have counter-play.

No one said he doesn't have weaknesses. He just has less than most champions. No champ should have damage, crit chance, shields, projectile disruption (windwall), chainable crowd control, mobility, and a decent defense. He literally has everything except AP.

Get me a challenger yasuo and challenger tryndamere. Yasuo will win.

Ever watched Yassuo stream? He loses ALL the time. In 1v1s and full matches. I've also played my fair share of matchups against Yasuo as Tryndamere and I definitely beat him 1v1.

You can make any champion sound broken when you go and list what they do.

Tryndamere- Crit Chance steroid, built in heal sustain, invincibility for 5 seconds, ad buff based on missing health, ad nerf, move-speed nerf, mobility, ad AND ap scaling. He literally has everything except range.

Nothing feels worse than an Ornn ult blocked by windwall.

You can slightly walk around yasou's windwall. its preferable to his passive because of its cooldown and his e again because of its cooldown. only change yasou's windwall needs is it casting from behind him and when spells are already hitting his model.

But not through it nor away from it when he puts it right on top(or even close to you) of you which is what every good Yasuo player will do.

You can walk through it if yasou is standing on the other side or away from it to draw him away from it otherwise he cant do anything to you just like you cant do anything to him assuming you dont have a laser then its only a waiting game because you still have a range advantage compared to him after its gone. Yasou's windwall itself isnt bad design its bad design that a character has high damage high mobility and high defense (whether through cc or 2 shields) especially if so much of it has no down time all of those factors encompass a large amount of damage dealing champion in the last couple years.

Walking through it will bring you closer to him and even if you get to the other side, you still have to keep walking away from it(it is bigger in code than it is in the visual in the game) before you can attack him and by then he probably isn't around any more. And if you walk away, obviously the wall is designed to prevent you from attacking him at that point.

Why do you think his wall nullifies things that are already past his wall? For the same reason you can't just walk through his wall and start attacking him. His wall is bigger than it looks. It's not rocket science, it's just misleading graphics.

There are 2 big issues with him currently. His MR is too damn high, and ranged champions can't attack him because windwall covers such a large area in a circle/box rather than in a line.

Why not just make his windwall’s duration scale with its rank? :/

2.5/3/3.5/4/4.5/5

It would remain a teamfight-turning ability in the lategame but offer less protection early.

We could do more. Make windwall’s hitbox begin just outside his own and spread as the windwall itself moves forward and expands. Yasuo would have to line the windwall up with the projectile’s direction. With a little change to the expansion timing, we could even make the windwall narrower at lower ranks.

We could also code it not to block ultimate abilities.
