should we be worried that if builds with his jungle item he's going to atleast get 30 ap from it

At least he doesn't deal much AP damage. They did nerf his E damage to prepare for this athene's change.

yeah but i realized something you can have multiple item 1039 and their mana regen isn't unique so now i'm a bit worried about karthus jungle cheese with a build like this early game item 3174 item 1414 item 3158

Then his ult does no damage and he's a lategame champion, it'll seriously delay his items such as item 3027 item 3151 item 3135 etc

Talisman mana regen isn't straight true regen, it only works in jungle. Especially, it doesn't give him AP when he goes into lane for a gank. Having more AP only in the jungle is quite useless, especially since Ivern doesn't use his spells to kill monsters.

...wouldnt it just be better to spend extra 300 gold to get Amp tomes, since they give 20 AP (talismans only give 15)? Talisman only gives the regen in jungle, so Karthus is the only one that can "abuse" the synergy

Jungle item? Which Jungle item? 'cause as far as I know, no Jungle item gives Mana Regen.

Talisman does. Sure, it's only while in jungle, but it gives like 180%

150%, and "only while in jungle" makes it useless with Athene.

Well once you upgrade it it goes to 180%. And not useless, just not useful. Im not agreeing with OP, just answering your question
