Really Newbie's

I am hoping veteran players will help us lowly players especially someone like me who has never played games like this but found I actually enjoy them. I want to learn how, why and when. Example: I don't know what runes and mastery's to buy. I did buy three players with IP but I know now I probably bought the wrong ones. I am playing mainly the free ones such as Orianna but then the next new ones come out. I want to know what the numbers are and how to use them. Why after a co-op game can't u find the sportmanship button? What champion should I be playing at this level ? Believe me I want to learn but am** a really newbie.** Thanks

http://probuilds.net/ here you can check what pros do with certain champions, what runes they use and what they level and what items they buy. This site is really good, you should stick to it! ;)

If you buy the starter kit, it gives the most basic champions a beginner should play. And look up builds for them, as it will show masteries/runes for them too.

Firstly, have fun! And then around level 15 choose which role(s) you enjoy the most, and start playing them more often than others. For example for mid Veigar and Annie are really easy champions, but are quiet effective. Top lane, try Tryndamere he is again easy, but effective. And for others roles etc. Watch some guides on youtube, read what abilities are carefully, and really important, ignore haters, just mute them. The mistake I was doing is thinking that flamers will eventually say something helpful, they wont. Also don't worry if you lose, these days low levels are full of smurfs ( Smurfs are experienced players on second-third account). Also, you will improve by playing, you will learn which champs can do what, you will get your reflexes better, and so on. Also playing with a friend or 2 is really fun :D Sorry for my English its my 4th language

If I was on NA I would help you get started but as I'm not the most important thing I should tell you is: Have fun, watch a few videos on champions, find a champion that you enjoy, gather IP/RP and buy him then just have fun, You will learn the game as you play, you can watch a few videos on YT tho to get you started,

I wouldn't worry about runes until your 30. I would just setup some basic mastery pages for certain champions which can be found when looking up guides. Try and find some champions you like and play them. Orianna is difficult to play, so just be aware she is a high skill champion. Really just try and have fun and learn. You are not going to learn everything in a day, but hopefully you learn something each game. If your getting flammed by teammates just mute them, but if players are giving you advice it is probably useful advice.

Going back to rune pages, mine are terrible. Some people have a ton of pages, but I only have two basic ones setup. Having correct mastery pages is more important. I have just basic ad/ap rune setups which work with all ad/ap champs. Its nice since they are basically just armor/magic resist, and then some ad or ap damage. Unless you playing with super high ranked players having an extremely detailed rune page isn't all that important.
