why cant i mute/block people from spam pinging me?

Hello, i am new to the game. The entire community is made up of toxic obnoxious players in 90% of my games that i have found.

That being said, the most obnoxious thing i have ever experienced in any game that ive played over the last 5 years is the fact that people can literally 'spam ping me' or other people, so absurdly non stop.

I realize there is a limit to the frequency that they can do it, but jesus f-ing christ its quite possibly the most annoying feature i have ever f-ing found in any game that i play, the fact that they can make a visual appearance on my screen, and flood my chat box that i can in no way prevent, is beyond toxic.

Its cancer, its terminally ill intensive care, e.r. unit brain dead cancer.

Please create a way to prevent other players being able to affect my game in this way, its not only offensive, its absurd that i have to deal with this.
