Low level games are so incredibly toxic...

I'm contemplating creating a youtube video with all of the chat logs from these games. I created a new account, as I cannot remember my password or email to my account from a few years ago. I'm currently level 13, and in every...single...game people have been yelling at each other, intentionally throwing the game, running down a lane to spite their jungler who "didn't gank them enough" - etc.

I understand that the majority of these players most likely lost their main accounts, and that's why they are now leveling a new account - but I can't help but think about how much of a deterrent it can be to new or returning players (like myself) to play this game.

The automatic punishment system may do a great job of taking these player's main accounts away, but I can't help but think it's also hindering the experience for hundreds of players at lower levels... due to the fact that they are just creating new accounts...even more tilted/angry now that their main(s) have been banned.

I also can't help but feel like I'm being held hostage in these low level games. I just played a 54 minute game in which a player was so angry because his choice was banned, he forced me out of my lane (mid) - and then sat afk, just moving enough to not get afk-kicked, for 40 minutes. He wouldn't surrender, and neither would his duo.

Of course, I would be the one to be penalized if I said something like "just open mid please." or "please report our afk" - so I kept to myself, but after 55 minutes of that.....and my attempt to carry (ended 17/9/22, woohoo) - I really don't know if I can deal with nearly every single low level game being this toxic.

I just started playing League of Legends and one of the issues I have with the game is just how toxic everyone is. The nice players are in the minority, most are complaining because a) you're doing something wrong, b) that you didn't help them when they were getting ganked, or c) that you're not helping in team fights. I had one guy, in one game, complain because I was in his lane, then complain because I wasn't in his lane. It's baffling.

Yeah, I had a very similar situation happen to me. Dare I say, before I took a few years off from the game, before the current banning system, League games actually felt less toxic... But that's just me.

Add notnotkaiguy if you are on the na server and want some one friendly.

Banned accounts show up in new player experience as even more toxic.

Have to admonish folks all the time for it.

Hell I check at the start of game for if there are new players and teach then how to mute. Then offer to help any one who's working on learming the game.

I recomend building a friends list of chill folks asap for newbies.
