So I was wondering if instead of the Did you knows be really binary by giving some sides game-breaking information and the other telling them "swain's bird is named Beatrice", the "did you knows" could be more helpful such as giving thought provoking and funny comments for both teams to ponder while the game is starting. This could be things such as "Did you know that our did you knows recycle like 4 different stock sentences over and over again?" and Also "Did you know it is impossible to pretend to have a mental illness, because that in it itself is a mental illness?" Any other ideas are welcome to help make this stalled and potential tide-turning part of the game in a more fun and interactive part for the whole community.
