Why so much disrespect for the aram only players?

I have been playing this game for quite a few years not quite since aloha , but I digress . I pretty much only play aram due to the quick game format and primarily not to have to be flamed for 20-35 minutes by some raging ranked player . The crap we need to tolerate from toxic players is too much for me to handle , especially because I am merely trying to have a good time . I did not fail to notice the pact that because I did not participate in ranked when it came time for rewards I get nothing .... I like free shit as much as the next guy , I spend real money on skins and to be blatantly disregarded and slighted by the riot team leaves a little contempt inside this old gamers heart . I play with alot of ARAM only players and they don't play ranked for the same reasons I mentioned above and pretty much feel as ignored as I do . I know this os prolly not going to be read by anyone who gives a shit but hey hove about some love for us aram only players !!!!Karma

I understand that you feel left out and I'd be a little discouraged to, but the climb in ranked is a monster. The competitive differences between playing a game in ranked, and playing a game in aram, are very very clear. In aram you could win or lose and it doesn't really affect you as a player, but in ranked losing means you lose LP that you put A LOT of time and effort into. To even get just around 15 - 30+ LP a game means you have to subject yourself to at least 20+ min in a 5v5 match where many factors that you can't control can either make or break your chance at winning. Toxic players that you have to cheer for and get motivated, people who are playing a champ for the first time and, completely inept players who walk down mid and feed 12 times can completely throw away any chance you had at winning lose you 20+ min and (Depending on MMR) upwards of 16 - 38+ LP. That LP, mind you, you worked hard to earn. Where as in aram if you deal with anything it's a toxic player who either feeds or flames, but, when you lose a game that's it just a game you don't lose something you worked hard to get.

So yeah for those who keep their account active and play the game on a non competitive level, sure, give em a thank you icon or something, but don't complain if you don't get a reward cause you play a part of the game that is non competitive and meant for fun only. If anything you should be grateful it even exists and just have fun playing with friends.

MMR exists in every PvP game mode and is essentially the same thing as LP. All the things you listed as having to do in ranked, you also have to do in ARAM.

This has to be a troll. You're asking for a participation trophy without even participating in the game. If you want ranked rewards, then play ranked.

Its not a troll , the point I am trying to make is that I like aram , and you like raked why can't there be some sort of rewards system for both is all that I am saying . I participate and play the game also !

I'm just glad they actually gave us our own map for ARAM. Before, you'd just fight it out on the Rift with everyone 'promising' to stay mid. They even gave us our own queue and matchmaking for it.

If you're not playing ranked on Summoner's Rift, you're not playing League of Legends.

Corollary : if you got a Penta, and it wasn't in ranked play on SR, you didn't get a Penta.
