game.cfg

Is it safe to edit the game.cfg for resolution purposes? I looked at older discussions on this topic, most people said it's a bannable offense to edit anything in game.cfg that was not supported within ingame Options/Settings.

Yes, you may edit the game.cfg file and even delete it in some cases where you are unable to change the setting in-game. It is not a bannable offense but it is not supported by Riot. This means that anything you do in the config file is your responsibility to deal with (for the most part). If you ever have issues after changing something in the config file, you can delete it and your game settings will be factory reset.

I'm not entirely sure and I'd be a little suspicious of accepting a normal player's answer. File a support ticket here to get a more current, concrete answer.
