Riot should change how much lp you lose for losing a ranked game with an afk because trying to win a game as a 4v5 is very difficult. You should still lose a bit of lp like 5 to 10 not 18 or 21 because its not really your fault you lost but you still could have won because there is still a chance you can win. Riot should make it so they can see who had left the game at the end and see your score and take away the lp from that. I know that you can still win 4v5 or 3v5... I have before but it is very difficult to win and not very fun to waste 20 mins and just end up losing. I have lost alot of lp from people afking in ranked and my team has ended up losing.

This, agreed so much, I was winning 2 games hard, but guess what? I lost both those games because 1 or more people dc'd.

You still get the same amount of lp for winning a game with an enemy afk, and assuming you never afk, you're more likely to have afk players on the enemy team than your own. You're more likely to gain lp from afk players than you are to lose it from afk players.

Other problem with this idea is that if you lose less lp when someone goes afk, it encourages players to bully others into leaving if they think the game is lost. Systems that encourage toxicity are not exactly ideal.

I agree with your statement but I think there should still be more of a punishment for people who dc or afk making it so it doesn't encourage players to do those type of things without a big consequence.
