Why doesn't Riot put ranked in a Team Builder format?

I think you should be able to just select your role in ranked prior to searching. Keep the bans and everything of course but just put it in Team Builder format to some extent so we have less of "mid or feed" or "top or feed". This would also be good for the more casual players that don't have time to learn all 5 roles in the game.
