A Question For Nasus Mains / Suggestion
Damn, ignore that redirect lmao ^^
Disclaimer: This post is not in any way suppose to be a hate thread or complaining about a certain type of people, so please don't get offended if you are a nasus main / player
Recently I tried a couple games with Susan. My first impressions on the champ was that he is really fun for the first while, but very linear and lacks much skill expression. Conceptually, I find him very interesting and I really like his late game reputation / strength. He also has a lot of potential for a really cool kit imo, however I do think his current one is lack-luster at best (I will go into this more later on).
Now, I may have been doing something wrong (please correct me if I am), but how my experience went for every game was that I farmed until I could do sufficient damage, then started to engage / trade more, and kept pushing lanes and gaining stacks. Once late game came, I out damaged pretty much everyone and was disgustingly tanky all the while and basically the games ended at this point. Because of this, playing Susan became quite boring for me as he basically follows a rinse and repeat cycle from my experiences.
I can see how he can be fun here and there, but how does someone actually main him? Like what exactly do you do differently each game / can work on? The only things to practice I am seeing are understanding your Q damage more to improve farming or potentially testing your patience since all you do is really farm for a while early-mid game and the rest is basically just standard league / top lane knowledge imo. In fights your damage is nearly 100% your q, which is just an empowered auto (kind of lame imo, but the damage is quite nice), chase with your W and plop down an E when you can. Having said this, Susan's kit is basically just his Q which has very little skill required to use. Keep in mind that both his passive and R are basically just flat stat boosts... boring.
If this is just me being really safe with Nasus, please tell me how to actually play him, but I don't understand whatsoever how someone can play him often. His kit could use some minor tweaks in my opinion, allowing more opportunity for skill expression and less dependence on just running in and Qing. I would love to have Susan's Q farming in tact, this mainly defined him imo, but his W, passive, and potentially his R are the areas where I think some changes could be made.
For his passive, I definitely think it needs to be some type of lane sustain, such as taking health from champs / large monsters / large minions or whatever and applying it to him (say taking away 2/6/10 max health, giving it to nasus and applying a 50% regen or something to him for 6 seconds) on 26/20/16 cool down (or maybe cooldown per champ). This would encourage more trades perhaps and allow for choice/prioritizing between more health or damage when you engage / farm. I'm not too fond of this idea, but it is a starting point for my thought process / future discussion.
His W could be a skill shot of sort, perhaps similar to how
E moves, slowing its travel speed past enemies, keeping the withering concept still.
I will leave my suggestions at this, because I'm not too fond of any of them tbh lol but I feel like I need to at least attempt to make a few if I'm going to be critical about this champ. I'm not too sure if I'm the only one thinking that Nasus is extremely linear and boring long term, but lemme know what you guys thinking about him I guess.
Thanks for reading.
