Is there data that indicates the "most influential" role?

It seems to me that of the five roles, they are not going to be completely equal in terms of their influence over the course of the match. Meaning, let's say you have 4 silver players and 1 gold player on a team. The gold player should be playing which role to increase the chances of winning by the largest margin?

I know that people have personal feelings about which role this would be - I can imagine some claiming any of the 5 roles are most influential. But I'm curious if there is actual data on this.

Thanks!

I feel like this can be at least partially done by finding correlations between lanes won and games won.

my best bet would be for low elo mid lane because mid lane tends to be really snowbally matchups

and for high elo it would be the jungler, since they can completely fuck over laners

Honestly, supports are the most crucial role. It's their job to babysit a champ until they are powerful enough to carry. They usually are the shot callers and strategy during the game as well.

In terms of influence on the entire match, supports have the power to carry their entire team with their kits and role. They often have the power to set up vision to control objectives and have kits to easy shift a fight, from the obvious Blitz hook to the subtle Nami CCs.

However in the early game a Jungler can absolutely turn a match into a onesided landslide. If farmed efficiently and ganks often, keeping pressure in lanes and even possibly counter jungling. If the jungler can get their entire team ahead before mid game, they have more or less won the match single handed.

in order Mid>jungle>support>top>ADC

A lot of mids in the current meta are really strong late game have decent damage early game and with the way turrets/dragons work getting to late game usually isn't a problem anymore actually even losing won't mean a lose too much anymore unless the enemy team is well coordinated and understand how to close out games and in low elo they don't so typically 1 good fight late game can mean you win regardless of how ahead the enemy team this role can really snowball you will have good damage almost all game

Jungle has a huge amount of map presence but requires a good understanding of objective control enemy jungle paths last known positions warding communication although being ahead or behind doesn't matter as much as it used to being ahead definitely makes things easier and jungler impact the game to do so

Support is basically a second jungler but you get less gold and are in a lane limiting your roaming potential however you play a important role in keeping carries alive and usually in charge of vision control which are both extremely important

Top lane sometimes impacts the game a lot other times i've seen them be in their own world typically only impact team fights and a teleport ganks not to say they are useless but it's hard to control a game from top lane unless you are extremely proactive generally difficult to do

ADC don't impact the early game most of them have almost low CC low mobility and don't really have too much damage output either early game you don't make the plays you don't make many if any decisions in other lanes but your own. you farm and wait for important power spikes and hope the team will group at those points to get objectives and pressure the map you have fairly low impact on the game until you hit 3/4 item mark in which you will start to become the main source of damage for the team in most cases from here you still don't carry because you're squishy and unless you have peel or the enemy team is easily kited you still rely on your team quite a bit. in most games the team doesn't play around you and you have to try to play around them making it hardest role in my opinion to impact the game
