punishing AFK players

Playing with an AFK player really makes me not want to play, especially ranked. Is it possible to create a function that would end the game play if a player is AFK / DC from start to a set time period like say 7 minutes. Cause it is just such a waste of time. Maybe you can pull off a win with some hard fought choices but mostly it ends in defeat and skews KDA. If a legitimate sport is what you want to create then this needs to be balanced because no sport ever has an AFK player and they just say continue on. closest exception is probably hockey that can play a man down if they are penalized but even then still not equal. most sports have substitutions which may not be possible in this case. Further I think it is only fair to mark players (like for honoring) that AFK a lot so teams know them and match make the high AFKers (and why stop there lets mark and match the high toxic as well) to the same team. Finally, can we create significant bans times for excessive AFK, toxic, feeders like say for the season based on a percentage (say 40-50% of the time) the best would be to restrict them from the IP address which they account plays from so they cant be bad on an alternate account then go play.

If playing ranked makes you angry , don't play ranked :) {{summoner:2}}

i understand your anger with it and perhaps your right. I actually played a match the other day where the guy afked but was there the entire time. I know this because every time we did a vote to surrender there were 5 votes and he would vote no every time it was beyond annoying. i think this system would be flawed though do to the fact that after updates many people disconnect a ton for the first few days ex: this last patch 4.19. in short i think the system could be implemented that if in 10 minutes one person on the team has done absolutely nothing no movement or anything then the game can be prematurely ended as in give the rest of the team the option to vote for it early and no negatives will be done such as in ranked no points will be lost or gained do to the fact that it wasn't a real match. then they can choose to report the player at the end if so desired over instantly punishing that person

I think I remember them showing leavers somehow before... But it was too toxic or some bullshit (you know, instead of leaving games being toxic and actually looked at, god forbid someone cuss at a damn leaver).
