It would be great if I could get:

Your favourite top laner The top laner that can currently carry hardest The most teamfight centered champ The best laner Best late game

Irelia riven seem to carry the hardest but if you want some really good top laners for late game try maokai rumble.

Edit: all those category's listed made me think of rumble.

I feel like a lot of the bruiser or tank tops are great to have in team fights.

Yeah you could become a Riven main. She gets by fine climbing, and if you can master her, then she's basically unstoppable. I feel like Irelia is a bit more of a safer choice because she can come back after losing lane, but she rarely does, with the power spike she gets from Trinity Force. Rivens often fizzle out fast if they lose their lane, then rage quit.

Also Hecarim is not nearly as difficult as he once was earlier this season, but he's still a solid pick for top lane. I see him more in the jungle though. I mainly added him because he brings a little extra to the team fights.

Overall best top lane picks right now would be Irelia and Riven. Champions like Gnar, Shen, and Cho'gath definitely aren't far behind though.
