I'd like some clarification on something with regards to stuns / silences

My last two games I've felt pretty frustrated.

In the first game as Blitz, and i've noticed this with cho gath as well. Silence seems to be extremely delayed, like waiting until animations complete before applying silence? They just feel so sluggish.

Now, last game. I was playing against an Annie, I saw Annie flash, so I flashed as well when she used tibbers. I took no damage from tibbers, my flash completed and then I was stunned? I don't understand that at all. If I was in range of the tibbers why did I not take damage? If I wasn't in range of tibbers, why was I stunned? Is there something I'm missing from that?

In the same game as Lux, I snared two enemies who both then were able to flash away? I know a root is not a stun, but if my snare landed? how is it they flashed away?

For the silences section, that's not a categorical truth about silences, it's just how those two abilities work. Some abilities have animations before they take effect. Cho'Gath's is actually different than other silences, but not in the way you've described here.

If I had to guess what happened with the Annie, I would say that she hit you with her Q and ult at the same time, and the Q stunned you. I obviously don't have a replay, so who knows, but that's my guess.

The snare is the same basic idea as the silence; movement abilities (like Flash) cast before a form of CC hits will complete. It's the idea behind the Ahri change on the PBE now, actually.
