Map overlay on key press

I've been wanting to suggest something like this for a while, and with the ongoing UI rework I felt like now would be a good time. I'd post it in the PBE feedback thread but I don't have a PBE Account.

Basically I'd really like the ability to have a map overlay, covering almost the entire screen, on some hotkey. Imo this would make map awareness far more accessible for many players, quickly pressing tab/M or whatever and seeing who's where immediately because icons and everything are actually large is far easier than having to look to the lower right or left corner on a map that only covers a very small portion of the screen (which means that extracting the useful information takes longer).

I got this idea from NS2, where it looks like this. It's a fast-paced FPS/RTS hybrid, map awareness is everything. It would be very hard to play without that overlay, in LoL it's possible since the icons for champions are much larger in relation to the map, but I still think that an overlay like this would be a good thing. People can ward however much they want if they never notice the guy coming in.
