My Rank (Not a Rant)

So during preseason, I started playing ranked consistently very often because I knew there we no consequences, and I hadn't really played ranked for more than 30 games the whole season. I went from bronze 5 to bronze 1 very quickly l, and lost very few games. Season 6 rolls around and I'm on FIRE. I play my provisionals and go 10 and 0 and get placed Bronze 4. Now I'm not going to complain but I would just like to know from a rioter what the deal is for this season and the mmr because I just feel like it's not right to push me back all the way to bronze 4 when I performed so well.
