Hard Stuck Silver

I am a mid laner who is currently Silver 5, with my highest rank being Silver 3. My main mid lane champions are Ekko, Ryze and Taliyah. These champions all have strong early kill pressure, great roaming and wave clear which fits into my playstyle. I have very good mechanics on all 3 of these champions, and I understand how to play most mid lane matchups, though my game knowledge could probably use a little bit of work. My CS isn't always great, but I am usually ahead of my opponent, and I almost always get first blood in my lane. The thing that has been perplexing me is just how impossible it feels to get out of Silver. When I get kills in my lane, I immediately push the wave in and go try to snowball another lane, but it always feels as though my top or bot wants to feed so hard that it's impossible for me to carry. Even as a 7/1 Ekko I'm no match for the bot lane that is 15/4 because my Support and ADC apparently have no idea what they're doing. Or I'll be doing fine in my lane farming and my Jungle will try to force a gank in the middle of a cannon wave, fight the other laner under tower and suddenly my lane is down in kills. Not only just the in game stuff that seems to hinder my teams chances at success, but the pregame as well. As soon as I get into a lobby I will immediately greet my team and then begin to ask what everyone is playing. Say we have a Zyra/Lucian bot lane, a Teemo top, a Ryze mid and a Twitch jungle. Great, we have early kill pressure but absolutely no engage and no full tank. I'll kindly ask our jungle if they'll go someone tanky with engage such as maybe a Sejuani or a Shyvana. I'm immediately met with "fuk u i kno wut im doin." Then the other team picks the comp with Maokai, Annie, Sejuani, Lulu and Kog'Maw and we get absolutely wiped because our jungle is basically just a second adc and they just get picked off every team fight. I picked up a chat ban because of what I told the Mordekaiser Support and Vayne top during our game who were a combined 5/25. I even played with one of my friends who peaked at Diamond 1 yesterday and we played a game where he was 8/1 as a jungler and I was 4/2 mid lane with about a 120 CS lead on the opposing Ekko. With a 4 item Ryze, I'm extremely strong, but I could do nothing in team fights as my adc and support, combined 3/11, would try to frontline and just get wiped and then we'd have to retreat because of the 3v5. Now I know I'm not a god tier challenger SKT T1 player, but I definitely feel as though I don't belong in Silver where no one takes the time to master their champs or their matchups. These players don't understand simple game basics. They think that because my lane is 1-0 and theirs is 7-5 that they're doing so much better than the rest of the team, when in fact all they've done is given their laner unnecessary gold that they can later dominate with. I'm constantly working to improve my gameplay, through CSing practice or just reading about mechanics and matchups, but even with all this preparation I can't carry hard enough to win games. I think if I ever made gold I could probably carry myself up to low plat because those people at least have decent game knowledge and the disparity between skill levels isn't as obvious as it is in Silver. I know it's possible to climb, I just don't know how any more when my carry never seems hard enough.

inb4 people tell you that's where you belong and ignore if your skill is high or not

I'd say something that helps me a bit is talking to other lanes in game. So if your bot lane feeds 2 kills, tell them to stay safe and stop trying to make plays because it's not going to work. they might flame you and keep feeding sure, but they also might listen and stop feeding, giving you a chance. Another thing you could do as a solo lane is tell your jungler not to gank unless they're pushed to your tower, that way they stop turret diving. As someone who dabbles in jungle i literally never tower dive unless they're 100% immobile, it's top lane, and i have flash, and also they have below 100 health. Some people need to learn to like... not turret dive at level 4. :P

Awesome, thanks man. Yeah that's something that happens a lot is I get flamed when I simply say "play passive" they don't understand that adc's and supports just need to afk farm until late when they can take over games. And about the turret diving...know the enemy's abilities before you dive! Had my ezreal e onto a Xerath and then proceed to get stunned under tower....it's just the little things!

any time. I find in most games as a support main that playing passive and having 0 kills go in the lane both ways it makes the game much, much easier to manage. If I snowball my lane, keeping the adc fed is like balancing on a tightrope because if he gets focused and dies its gg since that's all the kills. if they get fed its gg because nobody on my team knows how to kill the adc. However, if neither is fed, the game goes as it used to- much easier to control the flow of the game in my favor.

Also ezreal E diving INTO a turret is its own problem to begin with, nevermind the xerath :P always save your escapes kids (i have a friend who plays liss mid and frequently Es INTO the enemy team and it hurts my soul)
